Good malasadas - Edit
I was told that I had to try malasadas while in Hawaii and these were fairly good. I had a plain and guava filled along with a coffee. Coffee was fine, nothing special. Donuts were pretty good as well.

Terrible matcha and mediocre malassada - Edit
The matcha was comedically bad, almost more powder than liquid and the malassada didn't seem fresh and was extremely doughy compared to others I've tried

Limited Vegan Options & Concerning Staff Knowledge - Edit
Visited early morning (7:15am) specifically for their vegan malasadas after seeing them listed on HappyCow. Sadly, they were already sold out despite arriving well before 8am (as suggested by staff)
Read moreThe Good:
- They do make house-made vegan malasadas (non-custard flavors)
- Has potential when items are actually available
Areas of Concern:
- Staff seemed unwelcoming from the start, making assumptions about customers
- Serious lack of vegan knowledge...a staff member suggested a spinach/cheese + croissant pastry as a 'vegan option' and insisted "a lot of vegans will still eat dairy and eggs" 🙄 And continued to fight me when I insisted those were *not* vegan options.
- Inconsistent availability of their one vegan item
Bottom Line: While I appreciate that they offer vegan malasadas, the combination of poor training on dietary preferences, unwelcoming service, and unreliable availability makes this hard to recommend. For a business listed on HappyCow, there should be better understanding of what vegan means and more respectful customer service.

So so good. - Edit
Those portuguese donuts are so good. I love that they have multiple filling options.
Read moreThe only problem is that they sell out so quickly!! You have to get there in the morning, and sometimes there are business events and they just sell out right when the shop opens.

I can confirm the malassadas are delicious - Edit
We chose the guava flavor. They are delightfully spongy donuts with a flavored filling. Like a softer jam filled donut you may have eaten before. Coffee was alright, and the establishment is a little rough around around the edges. If you're in walking distance and want a sweet pick-me-up I would recommend!

Unreal malasadas - Edit
I’ve never had a malasada before but enjoy my pancakes slightly undercooked. So it turned out that malasadas were totally up my alley. Would rather eat one of these malasadas rather than any donut.
Read moreThis place is a random little hole in the wall, but they were doing brisk business at 7:30am when I arrived. I came by another day and they had closed early, so I recommend going first thing in the morning.

These were awesome 👏🏼 great Portuguese Malassadas!
Read moreNo that these donuts aren’t very sweet but are more bread like.
The donut is vegan just ask for blueberry or guava filling - we got both.
