Maharadja Chez Chander

Small place with very authentic atmosphere. But You have only one food choice ( the food which a chef already prepared for that day), but that is not such a big problem. Problem is at least one hour waiting for a food, chai tea seems to be for free but at the end we were asked if we want to pay for it ( what was a little bit confusing). At the beginning the chef is asking you if you are very hungry and when you answer YES you will get some starter , otherwise you have to wait for main course without knowing this procedure. and the last thing is small portion of food. For 30 CHF for plate I would wait more food. But food was good, not perfect but good.

Dropped by for lunch during hours when HappyCow said it should be open, but the door was locked, and opening hours are not posted, so you might want to call ahead before making a special trip.

Arriving to maharaja chez chandler was very special.
Chandler is the only one there, the chef, the waiter, and the 'father' of all.
Taking care from zero to 100 for you to leave happy and full of beautiful vegan food.
Only vegan, Indian style.

Three years ago we couldn't succeed in finding a vegetarian restaurant in or around Sion on the HappyCow website. Just accidentally found this small Indian veggie rest. It serves very good Indian food and you can drink as much as you like Chai tea for free. The owner is very friendly. We were surprised with several different dishes and all of us did like it very much. Unfortunately it was our last holiday-day, otherwise we would definitely come back again.
