Probably one of the best meals we had on Madeira - Edit
Small restaurant offering Cuban food. Only one vegan options, the chickpea curry, but it was very good and a combination of textures and flavours. We both really enjoyed it and thought this was probably the best meals we had on Madeira as sadly we felt the options and flavours are missing in most other places we ate at. We also had some mojitos (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and both tasted very good. There's a happy hour for cocktails from 5 or 6 until 7pm where you get two cocktails for 9€. :)

Even though they only offer one vegan option (a chickpea curry), it was amazing. So flavourful and delicious!! The drinks were good as well. Nice and attentive staff, I‘m glad we stopped here.

The vegan dish was very good but something to highlight is the staff! They brought joy to our table and I guess they were happy to see local people in a sea of foreigners! Haha.

Would give five stars if possible. Since there is only one vegan main it's nice not to have to think about what to order😄The curry they have is really good and tastes awesome. The staff is also very helpful and they gi as far as to not label dishes as vegan, if an ingredient states it may contain non-vegan elements.

Ein Restaurant welches ein wenig versteckt in einer Seitenstraße liegt , der Service so unglaublich freundlich und herzlich , die Dame hat mir auch gleich Tipps für Restaurants mit veganen Gerichten gegeben. Das Essen war einfach so so lecker 💚 und man wurde auch sehr gut beraten.

Loved MadCuba. The butter bean and chickpea curry is very tasty (and also gluten free). Great cocktails too (2 for €8 between 17:00 -19:00). A great find on a quiet side street.

Being a vegetarian visiting Madeira I had a bit of a tough time finding restaurants who offered good meat free meals. Often I would have to order only side dishes at restaurants because there wasn’t any proper main vegetarian option. However MadCuba was one of the few places where I didn’t feel like I was getting a worse meal than the meat eaters in my party! I received an amazing vegetarian meal with lots of flavour and freshness. The restaurant atmosphere is lovely and they have a great selection of cocktails. I would really recommend to anyone looking for a fresh vegan meal x
