Good food but expensive - Edit
Fairly nice place to sit outside. The service was also pretty fast.

The lentil loaf was yummy, it's nice to see a vegan dish that isn't just a slice of some meat replacement but actually vegan cooking. The sauce was a bit meh, I think it's basically spicy curry ketchup or something, just a bit too spicy and too dominant compared to the loaf. The herbed mash was good as well, again nice to see that they are a bit creative to get a unique flavour and not just replacing the butter and milk. Portion was fairly generous, also a large pile of carrot salad which was quite refreshing with a lemony sauce and some almonds.
They have two other vegan dishes, a vegan Jägerschnitzel and the Currywurst can be made with Beyond, so it's nice to see some options.
Main issue is that everything is expensive, expect to pay $30+ per person for a meal and a drink. Also, their menus are online-only (Mountain View has free wifi around the area, in case you have limited data).
Edit 2024-03-23: Sadly, they no longer seem to have the French Toast.

Service is extremely slow and prices are high - but good quality is there. Only thing keeping me from going back often is the slow service.

Great food and bier! - Edit
Great German food and bier with several vegan and vegetarian options. This is a newer location than the main one in San Jose. The Lentil loaf is so delicious with yummy basil mashed potatoes and apple carrot salad. If you eat cheese the Jäger fries are the bomb. Going to try the bowl next time.
