Delicious! - Edit
Vegan/vegetarian options. We ordered the truffle vegan burger, the mushroom vegan risotto, and vegan fish tacos as well as the vegan calamari to start and split between three people. The portions are good. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxed and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Speak both French and english.

Yummy Food! - Edit
This restaurant is so classy and cute inside! The food was also absolutely delicious. We got carbonara and a truffle burger and loved both. Even the little side salad was so good.

Delicious and great service! - Edit
We shared the mushroom toast and the avocado toast and both were amazing. The kitchen even split it for us on our plates. The avocado toast is lighter tasting and the mushrooms were rich and full of umami. I recommend both.

So downhill - Edit
I used to love Lov, but it’s shocking how much it has gone downhill. To start, more than half the menu now vegetarian instead of vegan. I understand financial strain might have driven the decision to add dairy and eggs to the menu, but to see so many non-vegan options is really disappointing. What’s worse, though, is the portions have become laughably small. I ordered the vegan shakshuka, which was literally ONE rectangle of tofu, cut into to triangles, on a pile of sauce. The supposed ratatouille underneath was such a fine mince that it could be barely found. For $18, I basically got a bowl of potatoes, which should’ve been a side to the main. I mean, honestly, to claim a dish is a tofu shakshuka and put ONE piece of tofu on the plate is absolutely absurd. You know the egg version had at least two, if not three eggs, but the former target demographic was expected to be content with ONE piece of tofu. It took like 7 minutes to eat everything. What a joke!

Top tier vegan dining - Edit
If you are looking for something close to a date night type of experience, this is the place. The decor is sort of shabby chic/ modern farmhouse, relaxed, not stuffy. The food was truly excellent in both flavor and presentation. I had the mushroom risotto, and my dining companion had a burger with sweet potato fries. The cauliflower appetizer was seasoned perfectly and the texture was tender without being mushy; I recommend that you try it. The apple crumble was delightful as a desert. Look out for the upcharge on the sparkling water; my dining companion assumed that it was free. Pretend like you’re in Paris and insist on a carafe of tap water to avoid sticker shock. I don’t mind spending a little money on a nice meal, but the water thing felt a little tourist trap scammy.

Fabulous! - Edit
What an absolute gem! I’m so pleased I found this amazing veggie and vegan restaurant on the Happy Cow app. I actually went twice in one day because the food was that good and my hotel is right opposite, so it couldn’t have been more convenient.
Read moreFor breakfast I had the energy bowl, which was lovely and fresh, although I think it could have done with a little more granola or perhaps some cacao or extra nuts for added texture.
For dinner I chose the California bowl with sweet potato fries and a Virgin-ini mocktail. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the bowl was a rainbow of colour, with all the flavours complementing each other beautifully. I don’t usually order mocktails, but this one was delicious and so well presented it genuinely felt like a treat.
The staff were very attentive. I was seated and had my order taken quickly, and the food arrived promptly too, which I really appreciated as a hungry solo traveller. I loved the feel of the place, and I’m so glad I saw it in the evening with the lanterns all lit. It created such a warm, atmospheric setting.
I’ll definitely return next time I’m in the area.

The service was impeccable and the food was amazing! I had a mushroom risotto dish as my main and crème brûlée for dessert … both were vegan and completely dreamy! I hope to get back here soon.

Mostly vegan options. I had the Cari coco bowl. Had all the ingredients I wanted however the experience was just ok. Had the side of kimchi fries and liked it. Had the brownie for desert, was good, but raspberry sauce was a little much.

Meh - Edit
I mean I had brunch here. Labor Day weekend. The atmosphere is lovely, the service was okay... Not great, just okay. Hubby ordered the mushroom crostini. I had the vegan shakshuka. The mushroom crostini was good but the shakshuka was underwhelming at best. I don't think they used any seasoning. Shakshuka should at least have cumin and it tasted like plain tomato sauce. There was perhaps half a cup of shakshuka with two small pieces of crispy tofu and grilled grilled bread.

Many vegan options - Edit
Went for brunch had the Energy bowl which was ok but a bit too big (would have helped to add some fruits as it’s a lot of just yoghurt and granola). My partner had the curry which was lovely. Service was lovely but they seemed a bit disorganised.

LOVed the food, ambience, and staff - Edit
There were many vegan options. Everything is vegetarian, and vegan options are labeled. All the desserts are vegan. The truffle mushroom risotto and brownie were incredible!! The restaurant was gorgeous, and the servers were so nice. It’s quite busy during the week for lunch. Super welcoming to tourists; they gave me lots of tips for exploring Montreal.

Terrible food and service! - Edit
I am honestly shocked at the positive reviews of this place. The food and service were equally terrible. It is not a vegan friendly restaurant, the food is salted and greased beyond bring edible. Also they are unfriendly to tourists. I was in Montreal for a conference and regret wasting my one dinner out in this restaurant. Fried calamari and mushroom crostini were salted and greasy beyond being edible. They manager:server was haughty and rude. I strongly urge anyone reading to choose another option.

Bright, fresh, beautifully presented dishes. - Edit
LOV seems to be a popular spot for lunch and dinner. The menu is vegetarian, with many vegan items clearly marked. The restaurant is bright with friendly service, and my meal was fresh and vibrant. Consider making a reservation if your heart’s set on eating here as the first time we stopped in, they were fully booked.

New menu is NOT vegan... but might change - Edit
Used to be the best tasting vegan pancackes downtown... Very disappointed by the new brunch menu (February 1st, 2025) not only having no vegan sugary option, but having almost no vegan option at all but two, if you take the option without egg. Eventhough the food was very good, I felt I could have gone to any non-vegan brunch and have the same vegan option, of not more... Definitely not coming back until the vegan pancakes are back!
