Non posso dire che i piatti siano male, ma è tutto molto semplice e con poco sapore rispetto a quello che viene pagato.

il menu degustazione è un esperienza con tutte le portate della carta e va da se che le pietanze siano di altro peso, altrimenti non si arriverebbe a fine percorso . Spiacevole per noi è leggere questi commenti perche' sei offeso dei piatti , soprattutto quando poi al momento dell'arrivederci dite : tutto bene grazie. Ma va cosi , e' piu' facile scrivere che parlarsi oggi giorno. Cordiali Saluti

The menu presents several dishes from the Piedmont culinary tradition. The ravioli are particularly delicious. The team is fabulous as is the selection of drinks. Some of the dishes however are plain mundane and lack the verve a restaurant of this calibre should have. The result is that one feels little value for money.

Ieri sera abbiamo mangiato in questo locale e sia io, da poco vegetariana e intollerante al lattosio, sia mia mamma, anche lei intollerante al lattosio, sia mio padre siamo stati pienamente soddisfatti. La cortese accoglienza e l'atmosfera rilassata hanno contribuito a rendere davvero piacevole una serata in famiglia durante un breve soggiorno a Torino. Tutto ciò che abbiamo gustato ci ha veramente compiaciuti e dal momento che L'orto già salsamenterio offre un menu interamente vegano è stato bello avere la possibilità di scegliere qualunque piatto presente su di esso senza dover esporre ai camerieri tutte le nostre "problematiche" alimentari. Inoltre abbiamo adorato il piatto Novak, un secondo da provare, davvero interessante, ma anche la lussuria, una gustosissima torta al cioccolato con marmellata di albicocca e ganache al cioccolato non eccessivamente dolce.

Vado all’orto da quando ha aperto con cadenza abbastanza regolare e posso dire che non mi ha mai deluso. I piatti sono vari e ci sono tante proposte glutei free. Il proprietario è molto simpatico e lo staff estremamente gentile! Lo consiglio tantissimo per la ricercatezza degli abbinamenti di sapore e per i dettagli! Super buono!

Location splendida, in via Monferrato, di fianco alla Gran Madre. Gentilezza e simpatia dello staff ed in particolare dell’executive chef Eduardo!
Read moreHo cenato con un’amica : il locale è molto bello e i piatti sono super. Abbiamo scelto un tris di antipasti (nota particolare al tomino al verde in versione vegana!! Una delizia per una piemontese!) e poi la moussaka. Per concludere un tortino al cioccolato con marmellata di albicocca e spuma di cioccolato fondente on top.
Tutto da standing ovation. Ritornerò sicuramente!!

Initially I went here to get a vegan pizza but when I got there it seemed that I shouldn't (it was a quinoa based pizza) so I ordered other things. Be prepared that the place is expensive (around 13€ a dish). It was really fancy and had complicated tastes, maybe to complex for me - I like simple things. So it was good enough taste wise for me but not really tasty.

Definitly my favorite spot in Turin. Edu, the chef, is passionate about his work, and serves vegan and raw plates. The location (near Gran Madre’s church) is beautiful, the restaurant is nice and very clean. The prices are ok.

We had lunch in their cafe so visited the restaurant for dinner (different part of Turin). It was even better. They prepare a variety of raw, gluten free and/or cooked. All really fresh and original. The presentation was perfect. English menu for those of us wanting to understand the variety of foods used... Definitely not to be missed on a visit to Turin. Recommend to reserve as they were fully booked but kindly found us a table!

A beautiful restaurant who serve good Italian food. We ate a dish with an amazing and perfect seitan served with sumptuous lentils very well cooked it was delicious !! The seitan starter was good too, we had a super yummy stuffed with migglio artichoke, the tempeh with red wine sauce and polenta was fine and the gnocchis with artichoke sauce delicious !! We ended with tarte tatin which was deceiving (too much crust, not enough apple, a bit dry)

We had a nice meal at this restaurant. My husband and I each got a first and second course and then we shared a dessert. We liked one of the first courses best, but everything was good. The dishes were well composed, nicely presented and they used high quality ingredients. An extra plus for the good service and nice owner.

Lovely place on the quieter side of Turin - Edit
I went to l'Orto Gia Salsamentario in January 2016, not long after it had opened, during a stay in Turin. Out of all the veggie places in Turin, it was one of my two favourite.
Read moreFood was delicious, surprising and interesting/inspired without being pretentious, which isn't easy to do.
I don't recall exactly what I ordered, but I do remember being impressed by every dish, which doesn't happen often for me. I do remember thinking the almond "Parmesan" was a nice twist on the nut faux cheese.
All in all, I'd recommend aiming for this place if you are in Turin, and I know I'll be going back when I next get to the city!
