Exclusif - Edit
I think the “zero waste” trend grocery stores like Loco Verdun is missing the mark. That our environment and food sources is a common right. This grocery store is exclusionary, very focused on profit capitalization, and financially unrealistic for the majority of people living in Quebec. I'm able to buy my products here in bulk (a privilege, I realize that), but it still hits my wallet every time I come out of there.
Read moreIt would be better if more grocery stores promoted collective action like the non-profit Le Détour grocery store in Point-St-Charles instead of focusing on profit. We deserve grocery stores that are more inclusive with fair prices.
Pros: Waste less, Reduce plastics
Cons: Price, Exclusionary, Questionable ethics

Good options - Edit
I find their products expensive, compared with other places that sell vegan / bulk food. The service is friendly, however, and the selection is good overall. Vegan options include some pre-made desserts, refrigerated and frozen vegan food, fresh produce, dried produce.
