Good snack now and then - Edit
We knew the vegan baguettes of lecrobag from some spots in Berlin. In my opinion they are really recommendable. Fresh and tasty! It´s really a pity that most of the big food supply chains don´t realize the big evolving market for vegan food. But lecrobag did. Thank you for that and for offering at least two vegan options. It eases the vegan lifestyle at least in the big cities where you can grab a snack while waiting for the train.

Cons: could be more then two :)

Veggie for travelers - Edit
There is a small snack shop called "Le Crobag Veggie" in the central aisle of Cologne's main train station. It is on the ground floor, between the stairs leading towards platform 1 and 2.
Read moreThis branch of Le Crobag stocks no items with meat or fish. Most things are vegetarian, however, and there are only a couple of vegan options. I saw one vegan croissant, one sandwich, 2 muffins and a salad - even though it was early in the day.
I got a coffee drink, which cost 50 cents extra with plant milk. Soy milk was on the menu, but nothing but oat milk was available.

Cons: Would expect more vegan options, Surcharge for plant milk

Le Crobag Veggie - Edit
There’s a second Le Crobag in Hamburg Hbf station which is all veggie and has multiple vegan options. I had a tofu and mango baguette that was very good and not too expensive.
Read moreFind it on the main concourse if you come in from the door closest to the cathedral.

Just one vegan option - Edit
Small sandwich shop located in the middle of the main corridor of the railway station. They only had one vegan option: sandwich with tofu, tomato and zucchini, without any sauce or other flavoring. The sandwich was ok.

Convenient - Edit
There is a Lecrobag Veggie stand in the middle of the main corridor of the railway station.
Read moreVegan options are clearly indicated and you have a few options. Had a nice muffin. Not supercheap, but that is normal for shops at the railway station.
Pros: Easy to find in the railway station, vegan options clearly indicated
Cons: Could do with more options

Vegan sandwiches - Edit
This place still have vegan sandwiches (or again, in any case) as of June 2017. There are 3 different ones to choose from and they are made on request. They also had a vegan cherry-filled chocolate muffin for your sweet tooth. Very convenient if you have a short stop, or are in a hurry, and probably best option on the central station. If they are closed you can also find vegan salads and perhaps sandwiches at Rewe, that might be open all night?

One vegetarian, no vegan baguettes - Edit
They used to have two vegan baguette options, but not any more (since summer 2016). The plus is that the store is open pretty long into the night when all other stores are shut down inside of the central train station, and around Cologne cathedral.

Vegan rolls quite good but not always available - Edit
I planned to just get a coffee and it was a nice surprise to see a clearly-labelled vegan sandwiches. The cucumber one was fresh and I liked the flavour of the spread, though I don't know why they don't bulk it up with more salad. The vegan items are not amazing value for money, but are very convenient for grabbing to take on a train, and I was impressed that I did not have to ask the server to use seperate tongs. At lunchtime plenty were available, although the outlet is open 24 hours a day, there were only cheese sandwiches left when I was last in the station in the night.
