I appreciate what they're doing but seldom are the options actually vegan. I'm wary of the vegan cupcake. I suspect they used white sugars and flours that are filtered through animal bones. The bright white frosting leads me to believe they use shortening. So, I think a better description is dairy/egg free instead of vegan.

My kids will eat the cupcake and take off the hard frosting blob. They like the cake, not the frosting. it tastes like pure shortening.
