Great food - Edit
Large variety of dishes that are or can be made vegan. The menu can be a bit confusing, though. Sometimes the explanations aren't all that clear either, and I'm pretty sure we don't always get what we ordered😄But so far it's been delicious each and every time, so it never really mattered.

The one big downside is that it can sometimes take up to an hour for the food to arrive. But the lady is so lovely and friendly that we've nevertheless been going back for years now.
Pros: Amazing starters (samosas etc.), great Sri Lankan food , family-run place, very friendly service
Cons: Can take a long time for the food to arrive , not the cosiest interior

We looked for an Indian restaurant with vegan options and found this little gem. Sure, the room itself is lacking stylish furniture or decoration, but don’t judge this restaurant by its look. It is very delicious and the owner is also so nice, she explained us all the ingredients and assured us that it is self made. Would definitely go there again an try other options from the menu as well!

Good masala dosa - Edit
It's the only masala dosa available in Köln and I love it. I haven't tried the other dishes. Kingfisher beer is also available here.

I often come to Lakshmi and tried many different of the vegan dishes. All of them were amazing! The owners are always very friendly and nice.

We had rice with vegetables and indian spicery We also ordered bread (Naan) and everything was very tasty. It is easy to find the vegan options in the menu. The service was also very helpful to explain the different dishes.
Read moreThe interior of the restaurant is spartan with a TV playing indian music. As an engineer the part of a wing from a German aircraft from WWII mounted at the ceiling was very interesting ;-)
Overall I would like to recommend Lakshmi for the tasty dishes.

We found Lakshmi during carnival and it's was perfect! The decor is basic but clean and the owner was so helpful. I ordered the mixed vegetable curry and would recommend. I was the only non-meat eater at the table and the owner actual came to double check my order to make sure it was vegan. If you fancy a good curry Indian/sri Lankan then this will hit the spot! Also as a fan of spice it was so amazing to find actual spicey food (chilli chutney so the spice can be added to taste).
