Ate here for the first time today. Both of us had the shoreline burrito. Wow. Super good! Friendly owner and staff. Perfect outdoor seats to enjoy the beautiful day. We will be back!!!

Hands down, The Best Vegan burger I have ever eaten! The condiments were superb! Everything is prepared fresh. Small kitchen but well worth the wait if there are orders ahead. Owners are friendly and helpful! I travelled from out of town so I needed a restroom. Easy to find one nearby on the kiddie beach. Parking was easy once I found the place. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and I'll be back! ❤️❤️

Had the north jetty bagel and it was the tastiest bagel I've ever had. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. Talking to the owner was a bonus because she is soooo nice and knowledgeable about the area if you are not a local. 2 booths outside for seating and no bathroom.

Lovely staff here - chatty and friendly. We had the breakfast burritos, apparently the most popular item on the menu and I can see why. Tasty and filling. The only seating was outside, which is probably fine most of the time, but it was raining when we visited so we had to eat in the car - just something to keep in mind if it’s raining on your visit. #Veganuary

I am so happy to have found this place!! I had the breakfast burrito and it’s everything I’ve dreamed of! So incredibly flavorful and the chips and avocado salsa on the side sent it over the top! The staff was wonderful and inviting which made the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to try everything on the menu! Even my non vegan husband loved his burrito! We will definitely be coming back!

I have to share my lovely experience at this cafe, for starters, it is located in a small remote area near the water and within walking distance of beautiful boats. I love to try new things and so does my husband, so we decided to order almost everything on the menu. OMG- WE ATE IT ALL! I LOVED the Nard Nachos, and my husband had the Mexicali bowl, we both shared the wet burrito and a pretzel burger. We just wanted to try everything on the menu. The smoothies are so delicious, in fact, I asked how to make it so I can try to recreate it at home. All the team members we encountered were kind and welcoming. We will be back soon. Love this place! We had just been camping in Channel Islands for 5 days where we lived off instant oatmeal, canned beans and ramen. We really craved something fresh and delicious. This place hit the spot. I had this really yummy bagel with vegan cream cheese and all sorts of topping and my husband had the special a gyros with tzatziki sauce. Both were fantastic!

Delicious Vegan in Oxnard CA - Edit
Was visiting at a nearby conference and found La Janelle on happy cow. Small walk up style vegan cafe with a handful of hand picked meals marked on a chalkboard. I ordered the El Capitan bbq sandwich and Mexicali bowl for my wife. Everything was amazing. The owner is very personable and came out to tell me about the area, attractions, and was passionate about how she selects ingredients that are organic and “clean” using few ingredients. I would definitely stop here again to see what else she puts on the menu.

It’s nice to have a place to eat in my area for the days we don’t feel like cooking! The Nard Nachos were delicious! I want a cup of their cashew cheeze to go! Stuff was very tasty. The jackfruit carne asada was a bit too salty for my taste by itself. Eating it all together however, I didn’t notice it. Can’t wait to go back and try some other items on their menu. Will definitely be back.

Healthy, plant based, and totally delicious! What more could we ask for? I've been here a couple of times and love what I've tried! I also love that every menu item offers a gluten free option.
Read more*** It should be noted that one (?) of the muffins is made with honey which there is some debate about among vegans. I think it should be listed on the item but.. 🤷♀️ I don't know about the rest of the menu so it's always good to ask. Don't let this deter you though. The menu is amazing!
My favorite menu item so far is the BBQ Pulled Porc sandwich! Incredibly yummy 😋 The seating is a bit limited so id come prepared to take your food to-go. Bring your beach chairs! 🏖️

We tried everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. Everything is vegan, and they make all of their own cheeses in house. Don’t sleep on this restaurant! If you’re unsure what to order, I would recommend the nachos. Also give their baked goods a try. Vegan and most dishes have a GF option.
