Est. Nov. 2023. A plant-based Sri Lankan restaurant and tea room in a restored heritage shophouse in Little India. Has a welcoming vibe with upscale decor. Dishes may include signature curry leaf coconut rice, mutton biryani with brinjal moji, jackfruit peratal, appam, and a selection of cakes. Afternoon tea available, book in advance. Spices and teas come from the owner's family's plantations. Some dishes also feature the influence of early Portuguese colonialists and Southeast Asian spices on the evolution of Sri Lankan cooking. Cashless. Reported October 2025 to serve dairy milk. Open Tue-Sun 11:00am-10:00pm. Closed Mon.

Excellent Sri Lankan cuisine, serene vibes

Kunthaville has done a lovely job creating a unique addition to SG’s foodie scene: a plant-based menu featuring delicious and authentic Sri Lankan favorites in a tastefully remodeled shophouse with a charming atmosphere and good service.

For the adventurous, there are several ways to try many dishes, including sampler plates and tasting menus. If dining alone and hungry, I’d suggest starting with the “Signature Curry Leaf Rice” plate that includes a dry jackfruit curry, lentils, bean curry, and several chambals. The jackfruit cutlets are very tasty, too.

There’s no brown rice here, but their white rice is distinctive and worth trying, and is available in three different preparations including coconut rice.
