Charming vegetarian café in the old town of Görlitz - Edit
Kugel is a very charming and spacious café in the old town of Görlitz. It offers different vegetarian and also a lot of vegan dishes. There is also an evening menue from 6 p.m.

Tip: Definitely try the different vegan and raw cakes and take a look in the beatiful garden behind the cafe :-)

Had a nice Sunday brunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Café was spacious and relatively quiet when we were there and our kids were happy about the playarea, which had a lot of different toys and books.
Read moreThe majority of the food on display was vegan and clearly labeled as such. We were full after brunch and had to leave to catch a train, so didn’t get to try out their cakes.

Here you can sit and talk in a relaxed cafe atmosphere while enjoying your vegan hot chocolate, golden milk or no-milk shake. You can choose between different plant milks. I asked for a vegan and gluten-free cake and they offered three choices. The vegan burger can be ordered with a gluten-free bun instead of wheat. It’s delicious.

Went there first time. Had the vegan "Sushi Burger", which was good and tasty. After that I had the vegan, glutenfree Schoko-Brownie-Tarte. That small piece was very good.

Besten burger der Stadt - Edit
Wer Görlitz besucht muss mindestens einmal ins Cafe Kugel gehen. Hier findet man sowohl im wunderschönen Hinterhof als auch im innenbereich einen schönen Platz, um ein paar vegane Köstlichkeiten zu genießen. Die Kuchen und Torten sind allesamt köstlich.

Dazu kommt noch das es im Kugel regelmäßig Veranstaltungen wie z.b. ein Freilichtkino im Hinterhof oder verschiedene Vorträge über Tierrechte, Umweltschutz und andere Themen gibt.

Süßes Café mit sehr leckerem Essen - Edit
Das Café ist sehr zentral gelegen, von außen sieht es winzig aus aber es finden schon einige Leute Platz und vor allem gibt es einen großen Innenhof/Garten, der sehr zu empfehlen ist. Ich habe den Kugelburger gegessen, der wirklich sehr sehr lecker war und super für den Hunger zwischendurch ist (kein vollwertiges Abendessen oder so) und danach noch ein Stück Kuchen, der ebenfalls bombastisch war. Alle Kuchen sind selbst gebacken und für jeden ist was dabei, egal ob vegetarisch oder vegan, gluten- oder zuckerfrei :) Der Preis ist nicht spottbillig aber für das was man bekommt finde ich es mehr als angemessen. Das Personal ist übrigens ebenfalls sehr nett gewesen. Fazit: Definitiv einen Besuch wert!

If you walk past Kugel cafe, don't judge it by its front (there is nothing wrong with it but it gets a lot better!) but make sure to go into their garden. This is one of the nicest gardens I have ever seen in a city cafe; even in a small country village I would call it exceptionally nice.
Read moreIt gets better though: When we visited, 4 out of 5 cakes were vegan. All looked delicious and I am glad we decided for the Zitronentarte (lemon tart) which was one of the best vegan cakes I had. Sadly we had eaten already, I would have loved to try their deliciously sounding burgers and savory crepes.
Also the staff was exceptionally friendly. Make sure to go here when visiting Görlitz!

Great place to visit with vegan options - Edit
A very nice, clean place with a great coffee (available with soy milk - costs additional 0.30€), yummy vegan kugel burgers, good music and friendly, helpful staff. It's not fully vegan but vegan options (several available) are really delicious and worth checking out.
