Disappointing - Vegan food an afterthought - Edit
We visited in June of this year having cycled around the east coast and north of Scotland and enjoyed lots of great vegan food.
Read moreThis is a quirky place with a nice atmosphere, but vegan friendliness is an afterthought. Vegan menu did look promising, but told only two options available. So we ordered one of each, but the stir fried jack fruit option only had two very small pieces of jack fruit and rice instead of sweet potato (sweet potato was on the menu he showed us - not told about this when we ordered.)
Flavours really good but meal value poor at £12.95 a dish (for which we were initially over charged for one on the bill and we had to ask for it to be changed.) After we finished he did offer to get us some sweet potato but having eaten the meal this was not really an option. After asking for a discount because of the poor experience he did take 10% off the bill but we'd not eat here again. Oh, and I know that we vegans can be the [censored] of jokes, but to crack a joke aloud in the restaurant about vegans (all inside could hear) knowing that they've served two vegan dishes was uncomfortable. Vegans steer clear, there are much better options in Inverness. A pity as the flavours were good.
Pros: Nice atmosphere
Cons: Poor value, Vegan food is an afterthought

Tasty and healthy - Edit
Tasty food - especially the rice with beans - and it seemed like a fairly healthy alternative to most vegan junk food options in Inverness.
Read moreUnfortunately vegan options aren't marked, so we looked at the vegetarian menu, guessed at what could be vegan, then checked with the waitress when she arrived.
The portions were generous and the food was good - not too oily as Jamaican sometimes can be.
I saw some other people were saying they had to wait a long time - we went around 5pm and waited a "normal" amount of time.
Pros: Tasty, Big portions
Cons: Vegan options not clearly marked

Tasty, hearty healthy food - Edit
Yes, the time between ordering and food arriving is a while though what comes out of the kitchen is definitely worth the wait. I had a spicy bean casserole with cassava fried dumplings that was piping hot. Staff are reall nice too and the prices are pretty resonable
Read morePros: Tasty, Hot, Plenty of vegan options
Cons: The wait (but worth it)

Slow service but food was worth the wait! - Edit
There is a separate vegan and vegetarian menu, but it worth noting that not everything on that menu is vegan.
Read moreI had the Vegetable Tempura, which was delicious and my omnivore friends said looked better than theirs.
The only drawback was that we had to wait an hour for food, but it was worth the wait.
Pros: Separate vegan menu, Good food, Nice staff
Cons: Slow service, Vegan menu has vegetarian options as well, Limited bar

Veg menu, very tasty food - Edit
Separate "vegan" menu on request, although a bunch of the dishes have egg and cheese listed, so read carefully.
Read moreThe callaloo okra dish was amazing, one of the best dishes I've had for a while. The jackfruit stir fry was okay but the jackfruit was just thrown in the wok without pressing/pulling etc.
Pros: Some very good vegan food
Cons: Not everything on the 'vegan menu' is vegan

Delicioussss!!! - Edit
Caribbean gem in Inverness! Authentic, home-style cooked food. We had the Spicy Bean Stew and the Okra and Callaloo, both with rice and peas. Both absolutely delicious - would’ve given 5 stars if Happy Cow allowed. Vegan menu is separate and has quite a few options.

Nice food and atmosphere - Edit
We came here for dinner last night and I thoroughly enjoyed a very flavourful vegan jackfruit stir fry. Unfortunately their “vegan menu” seems to actually be vegan and vegetarian options as it listed meals with egg white and Parmesan in the description, but even so the actual vegan options were great. It’s also a lovely relaxed space with nice people.

Great veggie menu, mostly vegan - Edit
I was alone in Inverness and just passing through and happened upon this place. The staff were so friendly and kind. I fancied the Ital stew with gnocchi and the chef made a fresh batch of gnocchi so it would be vegan. That said most of the vegetarian menu was vegan. A delicious meal, a delight to get Caribbean food in Inverness!
