Kong rules - Edit
My favourite place in Lisbon, best place for Francesinha in my opinion although the one from Ao26 is pretty good too. The only thing I wasn't huge fan of (or other members of the party) was the fish dish. Having said that I'm comparing it to Tofish from unity dinner (or No Catch) in the UK which is the best of the best!

Amazing dinner in Portugal - Edit
The food is mostly traditional Portuguese made completely vegan. Their seitan was awesome. We had the traditional Portuguese sandwich, Portuguese “seitan ribs”, and the ramen soup. Everything was very tasty.

Wow - Edit
I am generally not very interested in the "vegan meat" type of food, which they do here. BUT, everything was so delicious and interesting, it is absolutely worth it. Totally recommend!

Nice food - Edit
We enjoyed our trip to Kong - it was great to try traditional Portuguese dishes. I had the francesinha and my husband had the ribs. The food was nice, but not outstanding. My husband thought the seitan was too soft and lacked texture. The service was good and the surroundings were nice.

Tasty food - Edit
Ordered the croquettes to start with and shared them with my bf. Smaller than expected but tasty; full of flavour. We both ordered the vegan ribs with mash and both very much enjoyed it all. For dessert we ordered the nata tart with nata ice cream (yum!) like a warm hug. And the pistatio gateau with pistatio ice cream; nice but very rich! I’d definitely recommend the vegan ribs and the nata for dessert.

Very good vegan food but - Edit
We had two portions of the ribs, the croquettes and the cuttlefish, but we felt there were better alternatives in Lisbon to this. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I think the real problem is that it’s made out to be the best vegan restaurant in europe, which I think might be a stretch.

AMAZING! - Edit
I must say that you NEED to get the vegan ribs, the best dish they have. the sauce, the mashed potatoes, the veggies and the seitan are absolutely perfect. And get the nata tart as a dessert.
Read moreWe also tried the salmon. It wasn’t the best I’ve tried in my life but it was great if you eat it with the sauces and everything else.
The cod with cream was also very very good, but it was really hard to enjoy this other dishes after trying the vegan ribs. But it’s nice to try vegan versions of tradicional Portuguese dishes.
The restaurant is beautiful and the staff lovely.

Fantastic restaurant! - Edit
Second time visiting (June 2022). Now different location and menu. Waitstaff, atmosphere, music were all fantastic. We really appreciate the improved menu. I would say that the cod was better than the steak/egg, but it was nice too! Loved the Nutella cake dessert. We got the sangria with berries, but there was so much ice that the value of the beverage was diminished.

Tasty and beautiful - Edit
I ate the croquettes and the salmon. The croquettes are expensive for their quantity but they are tasty. The salmon plate was beautiful and delicious, the tofu really tasted a bit like sea, and the spinach and blue sauce were really good. The service was fast (i came at lunch around 2 tho) and the restaurant is spacious. I'd come back!

Delicious and beautifully presented food - Edit
All the dishes were a flavor bomb. The tofu 'salmon' dish is beautifully presented, as is the pistachio dessert topped with gold leaf. That dessert was very, very small and arguably overpriced for what it was, but so good!

Gorgeous restaurant. I had the Bitoque, the “cod” with cream, and the Mediterranean “salmon.” Out of those, I would say the one you can’t miss is the Mediterranean. It’s beautiful. If you can go with multiple people and share plates, that would be ideal!

Best vegan restaurant in Lisbon !! - Edit
You must visit Kongs if you’re visiting Lisbon .., the food is absolutely stunning !! There is such a good selection , but the vegan steak and fried egg is by all means a must try !! Great ambience, friendly staff, great location , good price ! We went on a Sunday (they’re open on Sundays despite description currently saying otherwise)…

Bland, bland, bland - Edit
We had the cod in cream sauce, the salmon, the meatballs, and the soup. The soup tasted like watery gravy, no real flavor to speak of. The cod had a comforting texture but also no flavor, just soft tofu and boiled potatoes. It came with an inexplicably dry, undressed salad of which about half was raw shredded onion. The salmon, finally, had some acidity in its sesame seed crust, but the potato pavé it came with was dry and bland despite the shreds of cheese baked on top. It also had a bright blue sauce which was visually striking but tasted, again, like nothing. The meatballs were pretty good, and their mayonnaise sauce did have some lemon juice.
