This is NOT a veggie/vegan place

My wife is Japanese and while technically there is one veggie option in the menu, they cook all the ingredients in the same pan with the all the meat products. They even asked me if they could grill the mushrooms on the side of the meat. ZERO knowledge of what vegetarianism/veganism is. AVOID.

Pros: Avoid

Cons: Avoid

Only one option at lunch for take away only

Came here for lunch and there is only one mushroom taco box you can order for takeaway. They give you a box and it’s build your own tacos. I’m not 100% sure it’s vegan but there is no cheese or obvious signs of dairy.
You get two options of “protein” for the box so you have to ask for two mushrooms. The food wasn’t very filling but was fresh and tasty. Quite expensive though.

Decent option

Had the tempeh salad. Light but very tasty. They assured me the mayo was soy based. Maybe they have other options at dinner time. Seems only this option was available at lunch.

No vegan lunch options

I located the store and showed the staff member photos of the vegans options, she said they are not available at lunch time

Lunch menu - have to request vegan

Im not sure if they have a dinner menu, but their lunch menu is combos which do NOT include vegan by default. You have to explicitly request it to be vegan. They will give you a mushroom plate. It was pretty good despite. However, I was disappointed that I didn’t get the vegan nachos and tacos people were raving about.

FIRE. Amazing vegan options!

I just saw this place pop up on Happy Cow and thought tacos sounded good. It was a little difficult to find but just when I thought it might not exist, I found it. It’s inside the station gates. If you were to enter in the Gransta underground north entrance, take your first right and it will be on your right at the end in the corner.

Anyway, to the food, I had the Tempe salad, and the vegan nachos, with a craft beer (the daydream). Both were SO GOOD. The Tempe salad was light and fresh, crisp and had fried Tempe bits on it that made it feel heartier. The nachos had corn tortilla chips that were a little heavier tasting than I expected, but they had two sauces, guacamole, refried beans, jalapeños, and salsa on them and I would definitely recommend these too. It was so good that I went back the next day.

The next day I had the three different vegan taco options and the rosemary fries. My favorite taco was the frijoles and vegan cheese! Then Tempe, then the brown mushroom. I think the brown mushroom could use a little spice or something but still very good. The rosemary fries were hot and not very salty, and came with two dipping sauces that I confirmed were vegan as well and they were great.

Highly highly recommend.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious, Fast

Cons: Pricey
