Only one vegan/veggie option, possibly the best in the neighbourhood

in short: very tasty vegan Korean option at moderate price

This part of Paris, full of offices and expensive lawyers, close to some of the seats of power (Presidential Palace, Ministry of the Interior) is not known for being a vegan haven.

There are options, but too many of them are salad bars or basic fried noodles/white rice with a veggie spring roll, if even that.

But there is Kini. Kini is tiny and has maybe 3 seated spots. Kini has only 4 dishes, 3 of which contain meat. But that one, last dish, makes the whole place worth it. Simple as hell, just wok fried veggies with big chunks of good tofu, served on rice, with just the right amount of seasoning. The “Deop Bap végétarien” as it is called (DooBoo Deop Bap, officially) is so tasty, fresh and just perfectly balanced that I found myself coming back to this place time and time again when working in the area.

It is also moderately priced, which is very helpful in a land of 10€ plastic bowls of salad at chain salad bars, and the two staff are very friendly.

If you are in the area, you might just find this tiny place to be a life-saver too :)

Pros: Fresh, tasty, Friendly staff

Cons: Serves meat, None of the deserts are vegan, Only a few seats
