Well worth finding! - Edit
I needed some vegan sustenance for my day of travel and Kind Crusts supplied it. The breakfast bagel BLT was delicious and fuelled my walk back to the train station. The vegan ploghmans and sausage roll was perfect for the five hour train journey. The iced donut was ridiculously sweet and therefore fabulous - I should have bought two! A big smile and cheery word to welcome you through the door - what more could you want?

We have only tried a variety of the doughnuts here. But they are extremely delicious. It’s always an amazing thing to find vegan doughnuts (or any cakes)

a day in the wild west and I went east. delighted I did with my first visit here and it really is worth the walk.I had a Reuben sandwich and opted for the wholegrain bloomer. the sandwich was made in front of me and it was a pleasure to watch this and all the ingredients looked great. my bread was great but by the end of lunch in looked Hannibal Lector with food in my beard and all over my fingers.it's a small cafe with really nice people, a good selection of healthy snacks and a good selection of juice and coffee.

Loveee this place and great that there's somewhere in the east of Glasgow people can go that's plant based! Of course their donuts are an absolute must but that's not to say that the rest of their menu isn't great!

Had the most delicious oat milk cappuccino and got 3 of the famous doughnuts - lemon chia, double chocolate and Oreo. They are really yum! A rare little hidden gem!

Amazing 100% vegan sandwich shop - Edit
Kind Crusts do all my favourite foods in sandwiches - vegan cheese, potato scones, Sgaia mheat - and my favourite snack, Ten Acre cheese & onion crisps. Also, of course, they still do vegan croissants which is probably my favourite food in the world.... warm... with vegan butter... mmmmmm! They have pretty much made me realise my dream of walking into a Vegan Greggs, but better as they're an independent place. They do outside catering, and almost every day they post the latest bake they've created that day to sell in the shop,.eg. Biscoff spread cheesecake.
Read moreOn my latest visit on Tuesday, which happened to be World Vegan Day, they had updated their menu and my friend & I shared a Chikkin & Facon sandwich and a Steik & Onion sub. I do like some "fake meats" which have a salty, smoky flavour (similar meaty texture and flavour which I used to like many moons ago but with the bonus of not coming from an animal) and the ones Kind Crusts use are really tasty. I *really* want to get back in for a filled croissant soon, some cheeze melting all over the facon... and maybe a potato scone in there as well...

Amazing Food, No Seating - Edit
The place made some amazing food. We had some vegan sausage rolls and a few of the sandwiches and everything was reasonably priced. Though the location isn't completely central, it is a short walk from the Necropolis and Cathedral so was a good starting point for our tourist day.
Read moreI wouldn't plan on eating here if the weather is too rainy though, there isn't much seating. However, you can get most of the food for takeaway since it is mostly sandwiches and bagels.

Myself and my girlfriend were visiting Glasgow for the weekend. kind crusts was one of the only places offering a good selection of vegan breakfast food. It was delicious we ate here two mornings in a row. they also have fantastic pastries. will definitely be there again. keep up the good work

Great little sandwich shop - Edit
Lots of fresh and tasty lunch options in this slightly hidden-away new outlet. The sandwiches on bloomer bread are a bit on the small side but generously filled, although I could easily eat two! The flavour combinations are inventive and work really well. The croissants are nice and fresh.
Read moreThe pastries are tasty, although the strawberry one would be much better with real strawberry jam; the synthetic, overly sweet "red Greggs gloop" doesn't do the nice flaky pastry justice. (On that note, it would be nice to see a pastry maker take on the authentic Danish filling of "creme", a yellow custard blob, although that might be hard to veganise... but I live in hope.)
Altogether Kind Crusts offers a menu with many delicious items which are worth a trek to Dennistoun. There is barely any space inside the shop to eat, though, so be prepared to eat in the street or elsewhere.

Open only a couple of days, Kind Crust extends Glasgow's vegan/veggie reach a little bit further east (before this the most easterly outpost of dedicated vegan/veggie fare was Tapa, a few hundred metres west of here).

There is an impressive variety of vegan fillings on offer, and only a few of those listed fall into the vegetarian category. There are also vegan cakes and snacks plus hot and cold drinks. We tried the full Scottish bagel (tempah rashers, portobello mushroom, tomato and tattie scone) and a vegan croissant for our breakfast - both very good. Looking forward to trying out the online delivery at work and getting a chance to sample the lunch menu.
