Serves meat, vegan options available. Thai food menu with labeled vegetarian dishes. The server states that kitchen use separate fryers for vegetables. Removed December 2020; no longer offering vegan options.
I am a long time Kuhn Thai customer. I tried to place an order for the (off menu) McDougall special and was told they no longer make it. I asked about the yellow curry which use to be a vegan option. They no longer offer a vegan yellow curry. In fact I was told that their menu and ingredients have changed and they no longer have any vegan dishes. This was my go to restaurant in Brookings. Sad to see them eliminate vegan choices.
Called to order tom kha and a masaman curry. Was told there's fish sauce in both but menu pictures I saw had vegan optional symbols next to them. Bummed.
Had a ranchy feeling on the inside but the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Half the menu could be made vegan. Would give 5 stars if Happy cow would let me.
We stopped at this restaurant during our road trip down south. We had a really nice diner here. All vegan items are clearly marked. There was good live music in the restaurant and the staff was friendly, which made the restaurants atmosphere really good!
The food was great. I had the vegetable tempura and drunken noodles. They did not include any scrambled eggs in the noodles, just as requested. Service was excellent too.
My partner and I stopped here along the way to Cali for our first hot meal in days and it was tasty. The menu clearly marks what can be made vegan and the staff was friendly. We had the pad Thai and the pad-de-ew and we were not disappointed. Would go back again for sure
We were passing through this town and could not get a connection. So we took a chance and check it out. We tried the fresh spring rolls, drunken noodles and cashew nut stir fry. We were also in a hurry. Service was awesome and efficient, food was cooked with fresh produce, firm tofu-not soft and all dishes were wonderful. Although I did not find this on happy cow. I later saw it and wanted to make sure it received the credit it deserved.
Ordered vegan version of drunken noodles with tofu. The many vegan options clearly marked on menu. Food was among tastiest Thai food have had. Service was efficient and pleasant.

Kuhn Thai’s refusal to offer vegan options is so disappointing and shocking after being vegan friendly for so long.
