Lovely little vegan cafe in a great location - Edit
We visited Kemu for lunch whilst on the Central Coast for the day. Although small inside it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very nice. The food is decent, we had the black bean veggie burger, veggie nuggets and a turmeric latte, which were all satisfactory. We finished it off with a black sesame sundae which we took to eat across the road at the beach. The ice cream tasted delicious but was rock hard and icy, saved by the lovely sauce of stewed strawberries in which it sat. I probably would not go far out of my way to eat here again but would certainly return if in the area.

lovely little cafe - Edit
Very small and local cafe offering seasonal options. The wife (chef) was not there when we went so there were fewer options which was a little disappointing, however the delicious food made up for it!

not worth it - Edit
Ordered two dishes. Was the only two customers in there at the time. First dish came out in a reasonable amount of time but turns out the completely forgot about the second dish. Despite being the only two people eating and there person who served us would've clearly seen that there was only 1 dish on the table. They offered free kombucha for an apology. Food was otherwise okay and reasonably priced Menu was very small and very basic. Owners children running around the shop staff where taking photos of them.. May not bother some but I found it very unprofessional and maybe they wouldn't have forgotten about our food. I'm sure it was a once off but even if the service was better there's nothing notable about this place to get me to come back.

Apologies for your experience. We are a small family owned and operated business and our children are learning more and more every day, as are we.

Good food, good coffee, amazing location - Edit
Kemü is one of those local places that if you're vegan, you just gotta go to. They've lifted the bar up for just about everybody else in the area and it's hard not to rave.
Read moreA small café right on the gorgeous Terrigal Beach, the place offers a relaxed aesthetic a mix of spiritualist iconography and local art. It works very well. Overall I'd recommend sitting outside rather than inside if the weather is good; the location is perhaps Kemü's greatest asset and the indoor area is a little cramped.
The menu is strong and changes up often. Expect good curries, sometimes interesting things like nacho bowls, and a variety of Funky Pies on offer.
But the real star here is the cold brew coffee. Oh my lord; this thing is the real deal. It's strong stuff, with a flavor that'll kick you in the teeth. Absolutely it's the one to go for if you're a coffee hound — the hot coffee is good but the cold brew is delightful. Do not miss it.
Overall, Kemü is justifiably considered the Central Coast's premier vegan café. Any quibbles I have are just that: Quibbles. Go and get some great vegan food, coffee and kembucha.
Pros: Cold Brew coffee is fantastic, Location is gorgeous, Food is good
Cons: Indoor area somewhat cramped

Wonderful cafe with seasight - Edit
Kemü is a small cafe which is right by the beach in Terrigal- apart from the street which unfortunatly goes through. My scrambeld tofu was good and my beetroot latte as well. My friend's banana pancakes were a bit burnt but still ok. We waited about 20min for the food but the staff was really nice.

Best vege cafe on the coast - Edit
Amazing 100% plant based menu! If your'e on the central coast and a vegan or vegetarian this is a must visit.
Read moreI've visited multiple times and the food, service and coffee is always great. The menu is 100% plant based, with chalkboards inside hosting weekly specials and a counter that has some of the best raw desserts i've tasted. The drink menu is also very extensive and contains some very different and interesting tasty drinks. Prices are actually very cheap compared to other vegan cafes. I've had to wait a little long for food sometimes but it was well worth the wait and the staff were very friendly.
If i could give this place more stars i would!
Pros: Vegan menu, Cold drip coffee, Great prices
Cons: none

worth the stop! - Edit
Delicious food, friendly staff, affordable prices. A lovely setting on the beach, it's a small cafe but outdoor seating looks over the water. We drove off the pacific highway to come into terrigal for this and it was really worth it. Extensive drinks menu and gluten free options too. Very yummy healthy food thank you!

Wonderful service by the husband and wife team. The vegan pie was delicious! The tea n coffee that was self brewed was fresh and had life ! Even had the Asian noodle salad that was enticing and yummy with a generous portion. Only wish the restaurant was more spacious. If ur a vegan u must try their food - thumbs up !!!

A little gem - Edit
Fantastic little place with beautiful owners who are willing to share their time and knowledge with you. Delicious food and unique menu with several vegan options to choose from...our only regret is that we don't live closer to make this our local haunt! We'll be back though whenever our journey takes us out of the city.

Fantastic Food and drinks - Edit
Really great food - My wife and I tried this place for the first time today we are both Vegan, they offer other food, however the vegan meals were superb. We just came back from the States and Kumu is certainly on par with some great restaurants.. Must try their iced Coffee, just incredible and I am not even a huge coffee drinker.
