delicious food, amazing staff

We went there to have some typical austrian food and were totally surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and the knowledge of the staff. The waitress remembered that we ordered vegan food from her colleague and hence brought us vegan appetisers. And before delivering the desert the lovely owner noticed that someone made a mistake and put dairy vanilla sauce on our cake. Immediately we got a new desert from her. All together: since I started my vegan diet I've never felt so welcomed and understood at a non vegan restaurant before!

Pros: they know what vegan means!

Great vegan-friendly restaurant

I believe that most of what they prepare is by using fresh products. The place is a little more expensive than usual but well worth the price.

We had mushroom risotto which was delicious and ravioli with some wild garlic and that was excellent as well. They gave us an appetizer consisting in a small lentil spread, delicious bread, olives and a small lentil coconut soup. They also have vegan desserts. It is not a vegetarian or vegan place but they accommodate very well. Staff was nice.

Pros: Delicious, Fresh ingredients, Smart cooking

Cons: Expensive

Nun auch veganes Mittagsmenü

Als erstes Restaurant in Villach hat das "Kaufmann & Kaufmann" nun täglich ein veganes Mittagsmenü im Angebot.
Brigitte Kaufmann, die sympathische Wirtin, bietet vegane Gerichte, häufig mit italienischem Touch, wie etwa Bärlauchrisotto, Erdäpfel-Puffer auf Salat mit Schnittlauchsoße oder als Dessert wunderbare Erdbeeren mit Hollerblütengelee mariniert.
Die Qualität ist top, das Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam und die Preise würde ich als moderat bezeichnen.
Ein echtes Highlight für Veganer aus ganz Kärnten.
