Not Worth the Hype or the Price - Edit
We were excited to try this all vegan Thai restaurant after reading so many rave reviews. As a family who loves Thai food and supports plant based dining, we were really looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
Read moreWhile we knew they didn’t take reservations, we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes but ended up waiting nearly an hour. Not a huge issue on a busy Saturday, but once seated, things quickly went downhill. We were informed they were out of the wide rice noodles used in pad see ew and drunken noodles, which are staples at any Thai restaurant, and would be substituting pad Thai noodles instead. That was disappointing, but we agreed.
Our appetizers were underwhelming. The tofu satay was spongy and lacked the crispness you would expect, and the peanut sauce was just okay. Two stir fry dishes arrived more like veggie soups than actual stir fry, which left both my wife and son unimpressed.
My drunken noodles arrived incorrectly with mushrooms, no extra noodles, and no spice, despite clear instructions and paying extra for both. When the corrected dish finally came, it still lacked the extra noodles and had almost no flavor. The tofu portion was tiny, and the whole dish tasted like plain pad Thai noodles, not the bold, spicy flavors drunken noodles are supposed to have.
My daughter ordered a mango pineapple lime drink that turned out to be sparkling, which was not noted on the menu. She took one sip and couldn’t drink it. Thankfully, the staff removed it from the bill, along with my entrée and one of the stir fry dishes.
While the staff did make some adjustments to the check, the meal was still very expensive and sadly not worth it. The service felt disorganized, the food lacked authenticity and flavor, and overall, the experience was deeply disappointing. We love supporting vegan restaurants, but we won’t be returning. There are so many better options out there.
Pros: Nice vibe, Clean
Cons: Poor execution and flavor, Disorganized service, Lack of key ingredients
