Non-profit, alternative youth center that's open to all ages. Offers inexpensive vegan food during Mittwochs-Kafe (Wednesday cafe) and Freitags-Kafe (Friday cafe) hours. Food release starts after 9pm, and sometimes there is a cocktail party. Check its website before you go. Punk, crust, and hardcore music and sometimes electro parties. NOTE: Please confirm if still fully vegan.

Good food fun spot - Edit
No photos allowed so that's why there's none on Happy Cow. They had very cheap noodles when I went and they were so delicious. Be aware that the portion could be a little bit too small for a full dinner. They often have fun leftist events. Check online to see what's on.

Kafe Marat is one of the very few alternative places in town. Might well be too radical for some. I love it, and especially like to go here when I need a break of Munich consumerism.

Munich has preciously few "alternative" spaces, but this is one of them. Come for the food, stay for the politics or come for the politics and stay for the food. Either way, it's good. Non-commercial and worth supporting. A place to connect, eat good food, check out the infoshop, listen to music, and hang with people actively working to make the world a better place one tiny step at a time.
