Amazing experience! - Edit
The food was awesome. I had a schnitzel wrap and my husband a double patty burger and we loved it! The sauces were awesome and the person that attended us was super nice and helpful. Check in Google before going, is in a gas station in a part of the city far away from the centre, but really easy to get there by car. We would definitely make it a regular thing if we lived in Reykjavik!

Got the Boss burger and it was delicious. Also tried the International Basic burger and onion rings. Ordered two sauces but the owner said we had to try the Icelandic classic sauce (I’m not sure the name, it was the light orange one) and all sauces were tastey aswell.

Great vegan burgers with a ton of options. It was a bit confusing going to a restaurant in a gas station, but I have to remember that this isn’t America where gas station food is scary! Don’t be scared, it was delicious!

The burgers were really tasty, it’s kind of salty as well. You can choose as many patty as you want on the burgers. The wrap was the best I have ever had! It has many soft smashed potatoes and vegan chicken and veggies. I wish to eat it again!

Genuinely sad to be leaving Iceland because I have never found junk food this good anywhere else in the world. Went straight here for lunch after our flight arrived and couldn’t leave without having it again.

I LOVE this place. I've gone out of my way to eat here multiple times in my last two visits to Iceland. Everything I've ordered here has been perfect. They could use some better seating options (I can barely eat at the high counters because they are so tall), but the food is spot on if you want some vegan junk food.

I had a chicken burger that tasted just like how I remember a Mc Chicken tasted like (even if it’s more 20 years ago I tasted one). Chips are great, and service super friendly. Would come back here if so was staying in Reykjavik for longer.

Absolutely unbelievable food, up there with the best vegan burger I have had. Was expensive as is everything in Iceland, also didn't realise the size of the fries or drink that came with it as we ordered a large. They also sell subs/pittas in the local supermarkets (the pig one, hagkaup) and a couple of other ones. Also they don't advertise to be fully vegan as they want to attract other customers, but they are!!

A huge thank you and shout out to Daniel at Junkyard for being my vegan hero and provider of the most amazing food in Iceland. Before my trip, I contacted some vegan places on Instagram to check opening times and if reservations were needed. The Junkyard team got back and said they can do packed lunches for day trips. This was so so helpful, as I went on a two day tour to the south of Iceland and worried about finding vegan food. I ordered two packed lunch sets one with a caesar sub, and one with a pasta salad. There was so much more included. The portions were generous and the food delicious. Seriously, I'm still thinking about the pasta salad dressing. They were around $20 each, which is not bad at Icelandic prices!
Read moreWhen my Northern Lights tour was rescheduled to that day after being cancelledthe night before, it meant I wasn't going to be able to meet the pick up time for the food. Daniel said no problem, and bought it to the bus stop for me. Also, since I only had 30 minutes between the tour of the Golden Circle getting back to Reykjavik and the Northern Lights tour leaving, he brought me a burger and fries for dinner. I almost cried with joy at the kindness. Everything from Junkyard was incredible.

I recommend the wrap "junk in the trunk" it's to die for! This truck is always parked at the same spot, has an outdoor seating area and its own pond (it's a puddle but that's the joke). Super friendly staff and reasonable prices. I go there maybe once a week for the wrap!
