Das Essen vor Ort ist nicht das wichtigste, hier stehen die Katzen ganz klar im Vordergrund. Zu jedem Tier gibt eine Erklärung zum Verhalten und man kraulen und kuscheln bis zum Umfallen.

Wow! This catcafé is awesome; how it is decorated, how cosy and clean it is and of course the cats! We had lunch there with homemade vegan cheese made of chickpeas and loved it.

Heerlijk café nabij de botermarkt met speelse en ook rustige aai katten
Read moreIk nam Vegan boekweitpannenkoekjes en die waren zeer smakelijk. In dit kattencafé is het rustig en relaxt zitten met overal snoezepoezen. Het ziet er hier uit als een gezellige woonkamer met ook nog erg aardig personeel.

Beste Maaike, hartelijk dank voor je prachtige review! De Vegan bananenpannekoekjes worden bij ons vaak besteld omdat ze ook glutenvrij zijn omdat we boekweitmeel gebruiken. Adorable cats in Haarlem - Edit
This cafe is exactly what it says, a cat cafe. There were several lovely cats inside, and there are lots of scratching post and toys for them as well. If you want to spend a little while admiring some beautiful cats, this is the place!
Read moreIt's advisable to book ahead. We hadn't reserved a table and they managed to fit us in but if you really want to see the cats it's probably better to book and make sure.

Great people, great vegan options (limited, but great) - Edit
Had a lovely time- really sweet people& cats- and although limited, I really liked the vegan options, which include vegan grilled cheese and vegan hot chocolate (which I love even on sunny days:-))

Dit keer had ik de dagspecial. Bestond uit twee goed belegde boterhammen met o.a. avocado, tomatenchutney en 'cashewnotenparmazaansekaas'. Geheel vegan en super lekker! Mijn dochters hadden de "american pancakes met blauwe bessen en siroop"
Er wordt zeer liefdevol en met respect omgegaan met de aanwezige katten, persoonlijk vindt ik het daarom jammer dat (enkele) gerechten toch vlees bevatten.
Pros: Veel vegan, ook ontbijt., Nog meer vega
Cons: Ook enkele vleesgerechtjes

Jippie was de kat van de eigenaresse, die haar maar liefst 25 jaar gezelschap heeft gehouden. Als eerbetoon is deze bistro naar haar vernoemd en vind je Jippie terug in het logo.
Read moreDit geeft gelijk aan hoeveel liefde in dit leuke restaurantje wordt gestopt. Je kan er lekker zitten kletsen, fijne koffie of thee drinken met vegan taartjes. Of lekker lunchen. Er zijn (twee) vegan sandwiches, een vegan tosti en regelmatig een vegan soep.
Met 7 vriendelijke katten die rondlopen is er altijd wat te zien. Of te aaien.
Het is er niet lawaaierig, dus je kan heerlijk lang kletsen, bijvoorbeeld op de bank.
Een aanrader!

Beste Leon, regelmatig worden wij verblijd met een bezoekje van jou in ons kleine kattencafeetje. Op 4 oktober 2022 is Jippies 5 jaar open. En we doen het nog steeds met veel plezier! Best cat cafe I've visited. They really care about their cat well being and it is as if the space belongs to the cats. There are platforms and bridges all over the space for the cats to hang out. The people here are kind and patient with English-only speakers and I was able to have a good vegan meal. I had the avocado sandwich and a vegan date bar. The fresh ginger tea is great.

Jippies is a very nice place just outside the city centre, perfect if you want to find a quiet place for some food and cuddles. The cafe has a calm atmosphere and there are tons of (very friendly!) cats to cuddle. The staff is very lovely and the tea&food were great! We had a great time.

Cute café for (vegan) cat lovers! - Edit
I had a great time in this café hanging out with the cats and watching them run around and play with each other. There are lots of vegan options on the menu like sandwiches, cakes, breakfast and coffee. I had a pumpkin spice latte which was great! The service was very friendly too. They had a bunch of games available and a kids corner.

Ik had de maple bessendroom smoothie en een sandwich met veganistische kaas. Echt om bij te watertanden zo lekker. Ben zelf vegetarisch dus eet zelf wel eens kaas. Maar dit is echt nog lekkerder. Ook had ik als toetje de vijgentaart die ook veganistisch was dus ik had een lekker dagje. Die was ook zalig. Niet te zoet. Precies goed naar mijn smaak. En heerlijk tussen de katten uitbuiken met een thee. Echt een super lokatie 😻
