Not set up for vegans

There were no cakes or sweet items that were suitable for vegans.
In the hot pie cabinet there was one vegan item - Vegan Lentil Pie, but they had all sold out. They must have had a rush of hungry pie eating vegans that day.
Obviously I left empty handed.

Unhelpful staff,

Let me start out by saying, the vegan pies are great. The pastry is some of the best I've had and the pies are only $7.10.
Although marked as vegan, the pie we ordered had cheese in it and had been misplaced in the vegan section, the lady before us had the same issue.
The staff member tried to convince us it was vegan, until another staff member told her it wasn't the vegan one.
She replaced out pie with a vegan one.

Vegan pies and pasties!

Jayleas’s have recently started making vegan pies and pasties with the hopes of it being a regular menu item. If they have none out, ask anyways because sometimes they’re in the fridge or being baked.

On top of their ridiculously delicious pies they also have great coffee and two of the gelato flavours (lemon and mango) are vegan!

Definitely a great little cafe.

Pros: Vegan pies!, Great coffee, Awesome service
