Hier wordt je opgelicht! - Edit
De kaart was alleen in euro's een beetje ingelezen reiziger weet.....dan wordt je opgelicht en betaal je 4x zoveel dan dat je met pesos betaald. Wij vroegen de pesos kaart, die hadden ze niet ( meestal kan dit wel) en toen zijn wij weggegaan.

Un gran descubrimiento - Edit
Vengo de España y la verdad es bastante difícil encontrar comida vegetariana o vegana en Cuba. La hamburguesa de este sitio es una receta propia del chef y ha sido una alegría. Es bastante diferente a las que he probado hasta ahora y está muy buena. Muy recomendable!

Gorgeous venue and great vegan burger - Edit
This is a beautiful venue with a very chilled vibe, we visited a few times while on holiday and there was always a live band playing, even in the afternoon when we watched them rehearsing it was entertaining. I had their vegan burger which was really delicious and great to find as vegan food is fairly hard to come by in Cuba in my experience. The staff are friendly and it became a favourite in Viñales during our stay. Highly recommended!

Vegan burger was undercooked - Edit
There's a great ambience in the courtyard, and there was a super good band playing which really enhanced the experience. Unfortunately the food was not great. It was very dark and hard to see what we were eating, but the bruschetta clearly had butter. The vegan burger tasted okay, but the patty was very mushy and just seemed undercooked. For the quite high price it would have been nice to get more than 5 fries with it. The fresh pineapple juice was great.

Great for Cuban vegan standards - Edit
They advertise with the vegan meals. We tried the vegan burger and the vegan ropa vieja. The burger was nice, but the ropa vieja was too salty. I liked that they had a vegan ropa vieja though, classic Cuban dish, so it was nice to try a vegan version.

Amazing Vegan food in a beautiful garden in Jan 2023 - Edit
Being vegan in Cuba is not super straightforward and this is the first place i've been with a vegan section of the menu that included 'Ropa Vieja' Vegan, Vegan burger, a vegan rice dish, a salad, a sauteed vegetable dish and a vegan sandwich. There were also olives as well.
Read moreI had the burger which was a homemade patty, served with tortilla style chips (probably plantain) and some veg. For dessert a delicious grilled pineapple and rum dish which they just omitted the ice cream for (first dessert i've seen in Cuba). Staff were lovely, the setting was incredibly beautiful and the drinks delicious. Slighty more expensive than other places but still only around £4 for the burger.

Best vegan food in Cuba - Edit
This was the best food I had in Cuba, although the vegan burger and the ropa vieja were not available. I asked and they served the sauteed veggies with the cheese (so, I believe that was better than the cold salad with cheese). Plus, restaurant is really nice, good drinks and live music.

Great Place - Edit
Just back from Viñales. We went to Jardin del arte sano to hear live music and have a cocktail ,but ended eating a vegan Burger and some shredded vegetables. Everything was delicious. As Amandai notes, the vegan menu is limited but our dishes where great. Its also the only bar that have live bands every evening with great atmosphere.

Disappointing - Edit
The veg and vegan options were very limited. I ordered vegetables with vegan cheeses expecting it to be cooked / hot but it was effectively a plate of cold veg / salad. Looks nice enough on the picture but it was bland and the 'cheese' was unpleasant. Disappointing because the other review on this place was good and as there are only 4 places in Vinales reviewed on Happy Cow my expectations for this were high. It was expensive too. Vinales actually has so many places that offer veg and vegan food that are much better than this one. Two favourites I'd recommend but aren't recognised on Happy Cow are Tareco's, on the main road with a sun roof - has a lovely selection of veg and vegan food, delicious, lovely staff, can watch the sunset - our favourite in the town. Other favourite is on the bus route towards the Hotel Los Jasmines, it's a tobacco farm called Finca Roja, and we were cooked up an absolute feast for two people for just 6CUC (about £5). I would give both Tareco's and Finca Roja 4/5 stars.

Lovely backyard surrounded by plants. There is a vegan menu section, including dishes with vegan cheese (made from pumpkin) such as bruschetta, veggies, sandwiches etc. The staff is really nice and there is free wifi.
