Excellent food thoughtfully prepared by a friendly and generous native woman. The honey and bee pollen mentioned above are not included in menu items unless specifically requested by the customer. Creative and delicious food. Definitely get the waffle!

Delicious vegan food! - Edit
This shop is run by a native woman working to make the foods of native New Mexico vegan! It’s all ingredients found in this area - if you get a chance definitely talk to her about all the wonderful work she’s doing!

Get the waffles!! - Edit
This place is incredible. Flavorful, thoughtfully-prepared, and life-giving options abound! The entire menu looked so good, we wanted to order everything. Unfortunately, lunch wasn’t being served yet (breakfast is all day but lunch doesn’t start until 11am) so we stuck to the breakfast menu. We ordered: avocado zotah bayla toast, breakfast burrito, blue corn amaranth waffles with coconut whip, a smoothie, and the almond raspberry cookies. Everything was perfect. We could not believe the waffles were gluten free—perfectly fluffy and tender on the inside, with a nice sweet crunch on the outside. I can only dream of Seattle getting a spot this tasty.

Delicious food - Edit
This place offers a lot of plant based options, in fact the entire menu is vegan. I only spotted a drink with bee pollen. I ate an Ital NDN taco, which was incredibly yummy - full of beans in a fried corn taco. My partner ate a breakfast burrito full of potato, tofu and kale. We had juice of the day and some prickly pear lemonade.

Good food, cool story - Edit
I'm not from ABQ so I haven't had much experience with traditional foods like this, and I was quite impressed. I got the tamale plate which was good. The side of beans and quinoa were not really seasoned which was a big miss. They had one salt shaker on the counter and all of the diners were passing it around which made me think all the food is under seasoned.
Read moreI also got an almond raspberry cookie that was good.
I do wish they had a better selection of drinks. I'm visiting for work and it's 30 degrees out which I'm not used to. They could easily have an electric kettle and tea bags and sell a cup for $2.50. They did have a lemonade that was in a big tub so I assume it was homemade, but I didn't try that.
Totally worth going to support the business as well!

Read moreI’m from an area where I had Navajo Tacos all the time. What you get here is so tasty! The fry bread was amazing and the homemade Chz was fantastic.
Also had the Enchilada and OG Nacho plate that were both amazing
Can’t wait to get back her and I hope they have a lot of success.

Healthy and traditional, regional Indigenous veganized menu - Edit
The menu includes healthy options, with quinoa, black beans, squash as a focus in several dishes, but also includes less healthy items that vegans almost never get to try. We tried:

We all loved the frybread, soup, and tamale dishes. We might ask for extra sauce in future, as it was really tasty.
Highly recommend!
