Very tasty Arabian food - Edit
I went twice to eat here. The first time I had an amazing Arabian plate, with tabulé, babagamoush, hummus, salad and some falafel balls. It was delicious!
Read moreThe second time I had a tasty Turkish Falafel, which was tasty too, but unfortunately I forgot to tell, that I am vegan and they put some yogurt sauce inside. My fault, but I imagine it would have been super tasty with hummus or babagamoush.

Delish - Edit
Amazing food and ambience. Have had turkish food in Turkey and "Istambul" was as good as the one I had there, also the decor reminded me so much of Turkey.

Pros: Amazing food, Good ambience, Friendly staff

Great vegan options - Edit
It's nice to find a regular restaurant offering vegan options in Paraty, a city that's not so vegan-friendly. I've tried the Turkish falafel and two vegetarian dishes of the day (ask them to take out non-vegan items in there) and liked the food a lot. The Turkish tea with ginger was also nice.

Pros: great food
Cons: small space, very fumy inside

Delicious Turkish meals - Edit
Easy to find, owners were helpful and spoke good English which was useful for us as our Portuguese is very limited. A few different options for vegans and even more for vegetarians! Great price point!

Great place to eat - Edit
The place is right in front of the bus station (the second street on the left when you face it). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Simply mention you are vegan and they will guide you trough the options. If you are vegan, make sure to tell them not to add the yogurt sauce on top of the falafels.

Pros: Tasty, Close to the bus station
Cons: None

Fancy some exotic food in Paraty? - Edit
If the answer is yes, then you should definitely check out this cosy little joint. It´s right by the bus terminal & I have to disagree with other reviewers pointing out it was hard to find - it´s not. The owner is from Istanbul & speaks English (as the rest of the staff does). He´s friendly & helpful. First time I visited I had a plate with Middle Eastern usual suspects falafel, hummus, baba ganoosh, salad, pita bread. I myself was running an Oriental restaurant last year & I could tell that they had to assimilate with which comestibles / utensils are locally available. Tasted yummy nevertheless! Serving was a tad bit too big. The mango juice I had could do with more fruit & less ice. Second time I had a shitake wrap with perfect seasoning. I had to order one more! Istanbul is perfect if you arrived in Paraty after a long bus trip, starving. Or the other way around: if you want to take out some wrap for your bus ride ahead of you.

AMAZING and KNOWLEDGABLE - Edit
Amazing vegan food found this in town! The main chef and owner spoke very good english and he knew what vegan was. Great food cooked right in front of you. Even the bread!!! Brown rice and lots of other goodies available. We even took food to go to take as we left this cute little town. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and above all else, DELICIOUS VEGAN FOOD!!! The owner even spoke to us as we bumped into each other in the supermarket! Go Here!!!!!
