Fancy some exotic food in Paraty? - Edit
If the answer is yes, then you should definitely check out this cosy little joint. It´s right by the bus terminal & I have to disagree with other reviewers pointing out it was hard to find - it´s not. The owner is from Istanbul & speaks English (as the rest of the staff does). He´s friendly & helpful. First time I visited I had a plate with Middle Eastern usual suspects falafel, hummus, baba ganoosh, salad, pita bread. I myself was running an Oriental restaurant last year & I could tell that they had to assimilate with which comestibles / utensils are locally available. Tasted yummy nevertheless! Serving was a tad bit too big. The mango juice I had could do with more fruit & less ice. Second time I had a shitake wrap with perfect seasoning. I had to order one more! Istanbul is perfect if you arrived in Paraty after a long bus trip, starving. Or the other way around: if you want to take out some wrap for your bus ride ahead of you.

Amazing Turkish food - Edit
I had the Tapete Voador with Turkish falafel and it was so good! Lots of different specialties and everything was really tasty. The highlights were probably the babaganush and the pita bread. It was super fresh, as was the salad and the tabule. Fair price compared to other places in Paraty. Would definitely come back!

Probably wouldn't have the Cha Verde Gelado again, as it was a little weak for my liking, but otherwise, everything was great.

The place smelled like cigarette smoke. I saw the chef licking his finger and the assistant cleaning the cup border with his finger. Kind of gross. Food was ok. A bit expensive.

Auf den ersten Blick sah das Restaurant nicht so einladend aus, da so gut wie niemand drinnen saß. Wir saßen draußen, und dort war es wirklich schön, z.B., weil an den Außenwänden des Restaurants Bilder von Orten in Istanbul gemalt waren. Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich, und wir haben ein kostenloses veganes Baklava bekommen. Es war zwar nicht soo gut, aber trotzdem war es eine sehr nette Geste. Das Essen war gut, vor allem wenn man die anderen Restaurants in Paraty berücksichtigt, die leider nicht so gut sind. Im Gegensatz zu den Restaurants, in denen wir dort waren, ist es hier wirklich sehr lecker gewesen. Insgesamt war es wirklich ein sehr netter Besuch, und wir sind sogar am nächsten Tag nochmal wiedergekommen.

Good Falafel Wraps - Edit
The restaurant is located next to the main bus terminal of Paraty. They offer several vegan wraps with homemade bread from which we liked the one with red lentils the mosts. They also have some dips with bread including hummus and baba ganoush. The food tasted really good and very healthy.

Read moreVery tasty and a good portion size. My only reservation would be that the price felt pretty steep, although maybe this should be expected in Paraty during high season.
This place has vegan options for starters/sides, mains and desserts and additional options for vegetarians.

Fomos a noite e pedimos 2 lanches de diferentes tipos de falafel (um tradicional e outro turco) e ambos estavam deliciosos! As bebidas também estavam excelentes! O lugar é agradável, há vagas para estacionar logo em frente e o atendimento é ótimo! Há atendimento em inglês, português e espanhol.
