Serves meat, vegan options available. The (starter) kale and onion pakora and (bread) roti are clearly marked vegan. Gobi / mushroom 65 is vegan on request, as is the okra and aubergine curry, the mushroom and broccoli masala, the palak aloo and the dal gobi. Reported closed December 2025.

Fantastic Food

I've never been to the restaurant (they're on Uber Eats and are my favourite take away) but am definitely planning a visit - so reviewing the food as it was delivered to me.

Love the clear labelling of what is and can be made vegan on their menu. Makes it easy to order and can be confident the food is vegan.

The dishes I have tried have all been amazing. I love the idli (from the starter menu). You don't usually find them on Indian restaurant menus here, but they're incredibly good and worth trying. The cuisine is Southern Indian (rather than the Northern Indian cuisine which is the norm for 'Indian food here') and is subtler and more delicately flavoured, with a rich variety of spices. I've tried a variety of curries and starters, and haven't had a bad experience yet. I really enjoyed every meal I've ordered. There's even a vegan lassi option! They've really thought out the vegan options available, and haven't compromised on taste to do it. Just amazing vegan friendly authentic flavourful food.

Lovely Love Story

This is a cozy place with lovely Indian food for eat in or takeaway. The staff are very helpful with vegan options. Some items are marked on the menu and others are or can be made vegan. Especially recommend the Gobi 65 starter and the Dal Gobi main. They take their chilli seriously - medium has a proper kick. So nice to have a good place to go out in Hokowhitu.
