Closed :(

The restaurant Il Punto Vegetariano is closed as of July 15, 2016.

Quote from the homepage:

Con venerdi 15 luglio chiude il punto vegetariano in via roma, per lasciare spazio a nuovi progetti ed idee. dopo 4 anni di attività ringrazio di cuore i ragazzi che mi hanno aiutato ed i clienti, molti dei quali sono diventati nel frattempo amici. auguro a tutti buona estate e buone vacanze.

Gutes Essen und Wein, sowie Kuchen

Wir haben vorher reserviert und problemlos einen Platz bekommen. War aber gut besucht und ziemlich voll
voll, also lieber reservieren.
Perfekt :)

lovely cooked food in a friendly and cozy atmosphere

The food is tasty and very well prepared, with a nice presentation and a good mix of ingredients. I had the seitan scalop with cocoa, curry and seasonal vegetables and it was super!

best choice for a vegan meal in Bolzano

I absolutely like this little but nice restaurant. Its name is "vegetarian" but everything is vegan, and really tasty.
The tables are not more than 5-6 on the inside and maybe a little more on the outside (which is nice if there's good weather), but always full: it's better to book if you want to be sure to eat there.
I like everything there but Vegan kebab with tempeh is my favorite dish. The most attended moment is... the end! Their desserts are really worth a try.
All my friends, even the not vegetarians ones, liked this place and wanted to go there again.

worth trying to find it

Definitely worth trying to track it down. It's a bit out of the centre, well into the Italian side of town but the only vegan place we found in the south Tyrol and worth finding. We went last summer and paid a return visit this year. It's quite a small place with seating outside and some in and does some take away stuff too. We had a seitan grill and a courgette 'spaghetti' dish with sundries tomatoes and almond pesto which was incredibly nice. Comes with a bowl of walnut bread too. For pudding we had vegan chocolate cheesecake - which we should have shared - it was huge and really good. Most of the staff only speak Italian, but one girl in the kitchen speaks English, if you're struggling with the menu. Definitely worth trying to find it.

Nicest meal out of the year

We visited Bozen on day trip from Verona and found both the city and Il Punto Vegetariano well worth the effort. The restaurant is about 20 mins walk from the lovely alpine-vibe city centre in a nice, if unremarkable, neighbourhood. The food however was delicious, really well cooked and prepared, and overall top quality. The nicest quality meal I've eaten out in 2013. There's a full restaurant menu, on which almost everything is vegan (basically everything is vegan unless indicated) and sit-down tables both indoors and outside. One tip - we arrived just as the restaurant had opened and easily got a table but within an hour all the tables were full - clearly with locals - so think about reserving in advance.

good food, small but cosy place

We got the address from happycow for our daily trip to Bozen and had to walk a bit out of the very city centre. After all is not that far (5 min) and we were pleasantly surprised by the nice place we found. The place is quite small but cosy, food is good and the owners are absolutely welcoming.
Happycow says it's a NON vegetarian place but I haven't noticed any non vegetarian item on the menu.

Pros: great food, friendly staff
