Best meatless meatball sub ever! - Edit
If I could give this 5 stars I would. My husband who's is not vegan could not even tell the difference.

Best Vegan Sandwiches - Edit
The Vegan Time Traveler’s Wife sandwich at Ike’s is delicious. It’s a flavor explosion that feels like it was crafted for both comfort and adventure. The combination of savory, juicy vegan chicken, tangy zesty orange glaze, and fresh veggies creates the perfect balance of tastes and textures. The Dutch Crunch bread adds a delightful crunch that pulls everything together. Every bite is indulgent yet fresh, making it hard to believe it’s entirely plant-based. Whether you’re vegan or not, this sandwich is a must-try.

Very unique - Edit
They have a lot of different types of sandwiches which is pretty neat. I got the Murph which was very good but towards the end started being too strong, I think the flavor just became a lot at the bottom of the sandwiches where all the juices were concentrated. Overall great sandwich, but might try something else next time.

Sally’s Ride - Vegan Turkey - Edit
We went to the Torrey Pines location. I had Sally’s Ride with vegan turkey on a Dutch crunch bread. The bread was tasty but a little too much sugar in my opinion. (Tasty Junk food sandwich bread.) Lots of the sandwiches can be made vegan. They have Daiso vegan cheese and a lot of vegan meat.

Best Vegan Sandwhich - Edit
My boyfriend and I ordered a The Pilgram and The Murph. The Pilgram was tasty, but The Murph was the best sandwich I have ever had, vegan or not. The bread is crispy, the vegan chicken is delicious, and it is filled with crisp veggies and sauces. There are many vegan options, and it is a fast option with lots of variety to please everyone. I highly recommend! #Veganuary

So many choices - Edit
Ike's has a pretty long menu in their location, but we found out they'll make any sandwich from menus at any of their locations. They all are different combinations of the same ingredients they have, so the options are nearly endless. For vegan sandwiches they have chicken, turkey, meatballs, and a vegan cheese. Most of their regular sandwiches can be made vegan if you just ask. They will also swap any ingredient for you if you want to modify something. My favorite is called the Mellow Kitty, it's vegan chicken in an orange sauce. You must try their Dutch crunch bread.

The Murph - Edit
Because the menu at Ike's tends to overwhelm, I've never even considered ordering anything but the Dutch Crunch bread--a white bread loaf with a crunchy layer that goes instantly soft just before your first bite--but today I took my time and wrote my order down before placing it: Vegan The Murph on Sourdough ($9.99).
Read moreStuffed with meaty artichoke hearts, buffalo wing sauce, a melty layer of Daiya cheese, vegan fried chicken, shredded lettuce, banana peppers, jalapenos, pickles, and onions on what turned out to be a lovely bubbly crusted tangy sourdough loaf This is the best sandwich I've had at Ike's to date.
Pros: Staff is well trained on "vegan" modifiaction
Cons: There are more vegan options then what is listed
