Delicious sandwiches, tons of vegan options - Edit
I ordered the Handsome Owl and my husband ordered the Meatless Mike. Both were so delicious and flavorful. I was really impressed with the wide selection of vegan options, both with veggie meats and with vegetables like breaded eggplant or marinated artichoke hearts. Will definitely be back to try more flavors!

Great sandwiches - Edit
I’m visiting while helping a friend move. Another friend on lunch duty brought back Ike’s and brought me the James and Giant peach chicken sandwich. I knew the chicken was vegan and said just leave off anything with dairy but it came back with vegan cheese!! It was the perfect hearty meal after a long day. The Dutch bread is incredible.

Good to have options but I’m not blown away - Edit
Many veg sandwiches on the menu, with a yellow carrot indicating it can be made vegan. Weirdly though, the way they “veganize” some of the sandwiches is just to leave things off. Would be better if there were true vegan substitutions. I also find they’re a little stingy with their sauces. The Meatless Mike for example is a meatball sub and it was weirdly dry. Maybe California style sandwiches aren’t what I know from the east coast but this thing should be dripping with sauce. So far I’m most excited about their veggie toppings rather than the faux stuff (ex. The sautéed mushrooms and artichokes are yummy), and I’ll request extra sauce to make these work for my particular cravings.
