Nice restaurant, also good for events - Edit

We had our company's Christmas dinner here. Everything was vegetarian, most meals vegan (on our request). They created a wonderful buffet with lots of options, including salads, curries, pasta dishes... And a heavenly dessert buffet, too

Do not go for breakfast! - Edit

I was invited there on a Saturday for the breakfast buffet. Their description on the website was not promising with little to no clearly vegan offering. But since there are vegan lunch dishes on the menu, I thought that the breakfast buffet would surely have a few things.

First setback was that nothing was marked as vegan. There is only a small number of things that could potentially be vegan anyway, such as various salads, marinated/grilled vegetables, jam, fruit, köfte and bread (also oatmeal if you can get it down without milk).

To be sure, I asked the employee next to the buffet. He had no idea and referred me to the "buffet woman", even though he was the only one around. Somehow unpleasant. He made it clear that he was not going to assist me.

So I just stood there waiting. At some point, everybody else was already back at the table, a woman came out of the kitchen. When I asked (in German) what was not only vegetarian but also vegan, she answered "actually almost everything". That was not helpful at all - and certainly not the truth if two thirds of the buffet is already occupied by the meat and cheese platters. Therefore, I pointed explicitly at a salad with white dressing and asked whether it was vegan. She said yes. Based on my experience so far I assumed that this place could not prepare a vegan dressing that looked like that. So I asked if there was certainly no egg, cheese or the like in it. She said "there is only yogurt in it". I said that if it is made from cow's milk it is not vegan. She said "then take something else" without specifying what that "something" could be. "Vegan" was obviously not a term for her. As she seemed to be annoyed and wasn't courteous anyway, I had no desire to ask for each ingredient individually.

With little confidence in anything at this buffet I had two small bowls of cut fruit for the whopping price of 15.50€. Never again will I have breakfast there!

I give two stars because according to the menu they may offer acceptable vegan dishes at lunchtime. But I wouldn't trust that they are really vegan either.

Pros: it's not far away from the city center

Cons: hardly accommodating staff, very expensive, no labels at buffet

Es gibt vegan. Wühle weise. - Edit

Schönes Ambiente, veganer Kuchen (ca 5€). Veganer Burger (Beyond-the-meat) 14€. Wenn man den Fehler macht wie ich Vegane Bratwurst für 13€ zu wählen, wird man wahrscheinlich nicht satt. Deshalb die schlechte Bewertung, weil es eine Unverschämtheit ist sowas wenig für das Geld zu servieren. Siehe Bild

Pros: Nettes Ambiente , Vegane Speisen

Cons: Manche Speisen sehr gering , Teuer
