Cool, But Pricey - Edit
iCream cafe is a really neat ice cream parlor in Wicker Park. They make the ice cream from scratch in front of you with liquid nitrogen. It's a cool experience for the first time (get it? cool?). They carry soy ice cream base and a variety of vegan toppings to choose from. On Friday and Saturday nights, they're open pretty late, so it's a cute place to get some ice cream after dinner.
You begin by choosing a base (soy ice cream), then a flavor, and lastly toppings. They have candy, fresh fruit, and other toppings like nuts. You can chose to dye the ice cream too (say pink or blue). For a medium ice cream with all the works, expect to pay about $6-7.
iCream also has coffees and teas to chose from as well on their menu.

Neat place to get ice cream... - Edit
iCream is located in the hipster part of town referred to as Wicker Park. What I like about iCream is that I can finally meet up with friends and eat ice cream on a hot summer day - yay! All of the ice cream is custom made from scratch. You have the ability to choose your base (i.e. soy milk), flavor (i.e. chocolate, hazelnut, etc), and a mix in (there are several vegan mix ins). They put your ingredients in a mixer (in a cleaned container - so there is no chance of cross contamination) and you can watch through the window as your ice cream undergoes their 'rapid freezing' process. It's pretty neat and would be a great place to bring kids if you have them. They also have various sorbets and puddings that can all be made vegan.
