Yummy food, friendly and helpful staff - Edit
We ordered the granola (remove honey, swap Greek yoghurt for coconut yoghurt) and sour dough with mushrooms, avocado and a hash brown (no butter on toast). The granola was beautifully presented, and even if it was too sweet for my tastes, still delicious. The sourdough and extras were yummy, especially the house made hash brown.
Read moreWhile the menu didn’t have anything marked as vegan, the staff clearly understood what vegan meant. There ended up being a number of options.
If I was to suggest an improvement it would be to clearly mark the menu with vegan options.

Yummy food, accommodating staff - Edit
I ate twice at Hydrant on my latest trip to Ballarat and was pleased with both visits. I got there shortly before closing and they’d run out of vegan cake/slices, but were very accommodating and offered raisin toast and coffee - perfect for a chilly afternoon. I went the next morning for breakfast and really enjoyed my ‘Tahini Greens’ - sliced avocado with grilled zucchini and broccolini on sourdough. A really filling and delicious breakfast. I’d highly recommend this place for its scrumptious food and very friendly staff.

Hidden lane way gem! - Edit
Tucked down a little lane way you will find this amazing establishment. We were squeezed in without a booking for some Sunday morning breakfast and it did not disappoint. Quite a few vegan options, plenty of vegetarian options and a great kids menu. Value for money. Food was delicious!

Hydrant made vegan was lovely - Edit
Hydrant is welcoming, cheerful, bright, and friendly. I booked a table this morning and had the Hydrant made vegan. I asked if my mushrooms could be made oil-free too, and they were. It was lovely.
