Not up to HC standards - Edit
This is a coffee shop that is mostly for takeout, though it does have some stools for sitting. The coffee is by Stumptown (one of the best type of coffee beans) and they offer plant milks for the coffee (for a hefty added fee). They also offer some vegan pastries--I bought a vegan blueberry muffin, and it was fine.
Read moreThe reason for my low rating is that none of the food is labeled as vegan. I had to ask the counterperson, who had to double-check online--and he was able to confirm that at least two of the muffins were vegan. But it should not be the responsibility of the young counterperson who happens to be on duty at the time to figure out what is vegan: this should be listed clearly so that everyone can see. The failure to label the vegan muffins speaks of a lack of commitment; who knows if they'll have vegan muffins next week? For a coffee place listed on HappyCow, the vegan options should be clearly spelled out.

Amazing coffee - Edit
It was my default place to go to every meeting while staying in NYC. Great tasting coffee and matcha. Also a good selection of vegan muffins and cakes.

The best coffee downtown - Edit
Their soy cappuccino is superb for a decadent treat. The cold brew is also really great. Their drip is a custom stumptown I really enjoy, but not as much as hairbender. The mini bread loaves are a filling breakfast.
