My non-vegan family enjoyed it - Edit
If you do not have any wheat intolerances you must check this place out. They have very limited gluten free options, but they do have some.
Read moreTheir best items contain wheat/gluten, sadly for people like me.
Before my allergy got worse I really enjoyed their vegan cheese wantons, sweet and sour “chicken” and orange “chicken.” Delish. I miss it. If you are vegan and are craving some Chinese style take out, I’m sure you will love this place.

Excellent Vegan Chinese Food! - Edit
First time eating at house of Fortune and am a huge fan. We had the potstickers, vegetable chow mein with tofu and house tofu and brown rice. Everything was delicious and can’t wait to go back!

Craving: sorted - Edit
I had delicious vegan orange chicken with an iced green tea.
Read moreOrange chicken is something I miss from when I lived in the US and wasn’t vegetarian. I sometimes make it at home but can’t get the texture quite right.
House of Fortune does a very good orange chicken, and I’d like to try more of the menu my next visit. While the flavour of the orange sauce is more soy-heavy than orange-heavy for my liking, the texture of the chicken pieces reminds me very much of actual orange chicken. Mind that you will need to order rice separately. The green tea I ordered was jasmine-flavoured. A pleasant surprise as I like jasmine, though you may want to keep this in mind as well if you are expecting a different type of green tea.
Very satisfied from my visit!
Pros: Delicious, Plenty of parking

Food was fair, a bit skimpy - Edit
I ordered the cheese ragoons, spring rolls, chow mein, and chili oil dumplings
Read moreAll were very underwhelming in taste. There was 1% cheese in ragoons. The spring rolls were super dry. I liked the sauce that came with them

Great place but no seitan - Edit
We went here with nonvegan family, and they loved it. Service was great, flavors were perfect. However, we were surprised that the general tso and sweet/sour chicken had mushroom as their meat. The menu hadn’t mentioned that, and I assumed it was seitan underneath the batter.
Read moreAside from that disappointment, this was a great place.
Pros: Fast and friendly service, Reasonable prices, Good flavors
Cons: Mushroom is a meat substitute here

Satisfying Vegan Chinese in the IE - Edit
Ordered via third party delivery and totally hit the spot after an eventful day! I really enjoyed the Pineapple Fried Rice, that was a generous portion!
Read moreThe spring rolls were crunchy and had a good filling of cabbage. I would like to go in person when I’m back in the area to see about their desserts and their Seaweed Tofu Soup looks tasty but that would have to be on a cold day.
Pros: Fully Vegan/Plant-Based, Prompt Service and Kind Delivery via Third Party, Tasty Fried Pineapple Rice
Cons: Items Can Add Up - Spendy w/Delivery

Tasty food, large portions, and professional service - Edit
All vegan Chinese restaurant in Chino. I enjoyed the Szechuan Eggplant dish with the Spring Rolls appetizer. The latter was crisp without being heavy or oily as can sometimes happen. The eggplant was mostly sweet with a little spice helped by the chili oil. Very large portion, as well.
Read moreThe hostess/server knew the large menu well and was able to recommend dishes based on my interests. She checked in periodically but unobtrusively. This is not to be taken for granted these days as dining out slowly changes.

Delicious vegan Chinese food - Edit
My omnivore friends brought me here and it was such a delicious surprise! One of the most delicious Chinese meals I’ve eaten - it was a treat to enjoy flavors I had missed from before going vegan. Everything came out hot and fresh. The fried oyster mushrooms are a MUST. We also loved the pancakes, Szechuan “pork”, and sesame “fish” strips. #Veganuary

House of Fortune has two sites. All of the food is made at the Hacienda Heights location. The food is outstanding. I think no vegans would see that it is as good as any Chinese restaurant. #Veganuary

Flavorful Food At House of Fortune - Edit
Hubby and I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time and were excited to finally being able to make a visit.
Read moreUpon arriving at the restaurant, I liked how the restaurant is clearly advertised as having vegan cuisine. Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by employee Mikayla and then directed to sit wherever we wanted inside the restaurant.
We were surprised when we discovered that they have no printed copies of the menu and that to view the menu, you need to scan a QR code that is on the business card at each table.
After looking at all the menu options available, we ordered drinks first which was a Diet Coke for me and a iced passion fruit green tea for hubby. For our meal, we order cheese wontons as an appetizer, veggie meat pancakes for me, veggie meat stuffed steamed buns for hubby and chicken fried rice for us to share.
Our food arrived quickly and we were delighted by all of the hot, delicious, flavorful food we received. The cheese wontons were perfectly balanced between being crispy yet soft where the cream cheese was added.
Since I've never had veggie meat pancakes before, I was wondering what it's tasted like and it was exactly as advertised, pan fried layered dough stuffed with ground meat. I was in awe of how thin the chefs made the pancake as well as the alternating layers of dough to ground meat.
Hubby loved the veggie meat stuffed steamed buns are said he like the contrast of soft buns to well seasoned ground veggie meat inside the bun.
The chicken fried rice was well seasoned and we liked that the chefs made the rice so that we tasted vegan chicken in every forkful of the dish.
Overall, this was a great dining experience due to friendly and attentive staff as well as delicious, flavorful food with generous portion sizes. We'll definitely be visiting this restaurant again in the future!
Pros: Generous portion sizes, Variety of food to choose from
Cons: No printed menu;only available via QR code

Great place for a meal - Edit
Definitely a place that’s out of the way but worth going to if you’re in the mood for some great Chinese food. Plenty of options, for Americanized or authentic fills. Kinda pricey but you get a good amount of food, even with leftovers if you’re like me and order multiple dishes.

Awesome - Edit
The menu is huge, so it's hard to know what's good. So far, our favorites are the dumplings, crispy fried tofu, and the crispy oyster mushrooms. A couple dishes that we've tried have been mediocre, like the orange chicken, but overall, the menu has a lot of great stuff.

I came here with my whole family and everyone was so happy with everything! Most of them eat meat and they were all extremely impressed. My favorite dish was the walnut shrimp. Everything is served family style. I’ll make this a new regular place.

Easily in my top 3 favorite restaurants. Their food is consistently amazing and the servings are large enough for leftovers (which I'm a huge fan of). Highly recommend their General Tso chikun or their claypot eggplant tofu!

Delectable - Edit
My go-to place. Workers are so nice. Each order is a feast. Faves include Sauteed Green Beans, Cashew Chicken, Cashew Shrimp, Poached Chicken (looks beautiful). The family loves savory Meat Pancakes. A new fave is Pork with Cabbage (spicy). To-go packaging is now environmentally friendly. I notice lately portion sizes are smaller, but that's the case with every restaurant nowadays. The stomach will still get full.

So Many Options! - Edit
This is the biggest all vegan menu I've ever seen! I was so excited to see they had so many dishes. We came with a pretty big party, about 8 of us, and I forgot to call ahead... because space brain... but they were very accommodating and patient with us. They pulled tables together, helped my disabled mother and grandfather find comfortable seating, which means a lot to me. Aside from all that, the food... oh sister, the food was hella tasty! The portions were generous, and awesome for family style dining. We all got to try so many different dishes, and none of them were lacking. Even our omni family members were amazed at how tasty everything was!
