Mediocre food, rude management - Edit
I went for lunch at this place with a friend. It was my 2nd time. The first time I went the food was great, but the waitress unfortunately didn't understand some words which I thought would be important as a waitress, namely wine (which was on the menu) and take away. Not blaming her, I'm blaming the management for poor training/identifying weakness in language skills.
Read moreThis time around, the food was mediocre at best and some extras that we had ordered - coriander & garlic, didn't arrive. We were the only customers in the restaurant at that time so it wasn't as if they had the excuse of being busy.
I will add that the Manager has been extremely rude to me because I had the audacity to mention problems with training/language during my first visit, calling me racist! Well he won't need to worry about that, I will never be tempted to go back ever again after my last visit.
For info, you can make your own Hot Pot by buying a Hot Pot soup base from any Chinese supermarket and do it yourself, really easily.
Pros: The food was good the first time I went, clean, vegan friendly
Cons: rude manager, mediocre food the 2nd time around , lack of training, not bringing extras paid for

As a note, I never insulted her.

Unique experience but expensive - Edit
The restaurant clearly labels vegan options
Read more1. Hotpot Broth with 4 broth options and a variety of vegetables and tofu to choose from, 7 noodle options
2. Steam bar
3. Noodle dish
4. Sides plates
5. Variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks
6. 3 dessert options
We had the hotpot broth with spicy and tomato broth, set tray that cost us £42 it was so filling for just the two of us. Might be better to share with 2 other people due to the cost. Its a very unique experience with induction cookers on your table and brought raw ingredients to cook yourself. The broth is enough for 4 people and they refill it at no extra cost. So probably 2 extra noodles if you want to share with 4 people.
The staff was friendly. They gave a goody bag full of non vegan treats which I didn't realise till I was out. So will feedback to them.
I'll come again to try the Steam boa and other items on the menu.
Would have given 3.5 stars but thought to bump them to 4 instead of three as its a very unique food experience .
Pros: Clearly marked vegan items , Unique food experience
Cons: Serves fish, meat, eggs and dairy, Very expensive
