Hommage

We had a wonderful breakfast at Hommage. The café is really super-cute and the food very fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly. I only give 5 stars to all-vegan restaurants, otherwise this would have deserved 5, too. Make sure, that you tell staff, that you're vegan when you order, there are plenty options vegan available, just not the crêpes...

This is a small (Europan style) café, i.e., not an eatery. Located directly at inner city subway stop 'Friesenplatz' which at night turns into a major tourist spot. Nice place of peace. Two vegan items: vegan banana bread (cherry or rhubarb) and vegan nut wedges (apart from that: vegetarian crépes). Coffee, fruit tea, etc. Very nice interior design. Cash only, no restroom (but there is one in a famous Brauerei (brewery) called Päffgen across the street). Four seats outside, around 12 inside; also, in the front, a kind of coffee "bar" with bar stools. Very friendly staff. Not esoteric, not an animal rights thing, just an inner city place of (veg*n) peace and friendlyness. Good coffee, you can have it on ice, too (!).
