Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. We had the caprese, tempeh steak croissant, and bougatsa. Would come back to Athens JUST for this food!!!!

Read moreThe only tip I might add, which might sound silly in a diet busting bakery like this, is to ask them to not add extra oil and to put dressings on the side if you prefer things a little less oily like I do.
But lovely friendly service, amazing and hot food and coffee. A must go to place when you are in Athens.

Unsere Holy Bowl und Cheri Cheri Lady Bowl genauso wie das Avocado-Toast schmeckten Bämm. Nach 32h Reisezeit aus Lombok zurück nach Europa war das unsere 1. Station Athen‘s Holy Llama und wir sind damit sehr glücklich. Frisch zubereitet mit ca 5-10min Wartezeit war es ein purer Geschmacks-Genuß. Die Einrichtung ist in hellem Holz und sanften Designelementen gehalten, im Hintergrund läuft dezente Non-Mainstream Musik. Die Toiletten sind im Keller über eine Wendeltreppe begehbar, sauber und freundlich gestaltet. Außen sitzen ist Winfgeschützt und die einspurige Strasse ist gut (nicht störend) belebt,

The atmosphere is lovely and they have a wonderful selection of baked goods and sandwiches. I had the chocolate croissant (pain du chocolat) and the croissant sandwich. Both were delicious!

We got three options to try which were all really amazing (I have never had a Crookie before!) but I do wish we had got them to go rather than sitting in. We went up to order at the till and we were directed to sit down and they would come to us if we are sitting in which I understood. But we were already there first in line and knew what we wanted and it wasnt said very kindly so it did feel like we were being shooed away a little. Two of our three were brought out and we finished them both before the third one because it took so long even though there were multiple in the display case. When I asked if it was coming, the waitress literally rolled her eyes at me and said yes. Then it was brought by another staff member which made me think it was forgotten. Around €17 for the three pastries and a coffee was really good though and it did taste great - I just wish we got it to take away. It was really busy which did prove how great it was!

Read moreAthens is more and more becoming my vegan heaven, and the Holy Llama Bakery/Confectionery is playing a big role in that.
I can’t remember the last time I’ve been in such a high class bakery in my life, neither since I became vegan nor before that. The pastries there were nothing less than magnificent.
Such baking class has its price. Holy Llama is definitely one of the more expensive places, but it’s really worth it’s money.
Apart from pastries, they also serve classic breakfast and brunch dishes. We haven’t tried those, but they all looked pretty good as well.
It will definitely not be the last time I’ve visited this place, that is for sure!

The food here is just amazing. Beyond delicious, creative flavours and perfect dish sizes - big enough to be filling with a little room for a dessert, not so big that you feel like you can't get up after all the good food. The logo is adorable, the music was laid back and perfect. All the merchandise is so cute - we bought two mugs and a t-shirt as our Athens souvenirs.

The Breakfast Destination - Edit
Adorned in green earthy chic, Holy Llama is a sanctuary in the city filled with delightful vegan baked goods to die for. Unsurprisingly it offers a delicious selection of brunch items to satiate any appetite. This is my favourite breakfast destination in Athens!
