Great bakery - Edit
This was listed as one of the top 10 vegan bakeries in the world in a recent HappyCow  Instagram post, and it’s easy to see why. I had a latte, coffee, cookie, and everything was great, and a lot more looked really great. Nice relaxing, setting as well.

A lovely little spot - lots of options - everything vegan. Holy Llama was recommended to us by a tour guide on a vegan tour in Athens and the pastries all looked fantastic. Everyone in our group (vegan and non vegan) loved the food.

I really appreciate Holy Llama's diversity of options, and I wish I had more time to try other dishes. That being said, the foods I did have weren't anything special. I had the chickpea omelette and a pain au chocolat to go. The chickpea omelette was decent, but lacked flavor (although I really enjoyed the cream cheese inside) and the texture of the "egg" was a bit dense. I also asked for no mushrooms, but received it with mushrooms anyway. The pain au chocolat had a good texture and flavor, but still lacked the flakiness of a true croissant. But, I love seeing a vegan cafe like this. The staff were friendly, and it was very wholesome to watch other customers walk in and ask in awe "and this is all vegan?!"😄

Favorite breakfast spot in Athens - Edit
We had a great breakfast here and took a croissant with almonds to go (so good!). It’s the place to go when you are frustrated by all the delicious looking not vegan bakeries. Here you’ll have all the options.

We came here after an acropolis tour and starting. We got the blt and the steak croissant and both were so delicious. We also got a Dubai croissant and I have never tasted anything so good. Great service and even better food.

This place is amazing you must take a trip if you’re in Athens !! The croissants are so tasty, not too expensive, and the lady in the shop was super nice and talkative!! The previous review mentions them not being as good , and comparatively to Amsterdam, yes, Amsterdam is better for vegan bakery, but compared to the UK this one in Athens will blow your mind !! So yummy

Amazing fully vegan bakery - Edit
We were amazed to come across a fully vegan bakery close to our hotel. We asked an employee to choose a selection of her favorite pastries for us to try and all were unique. My favorites were a vegan sausage and caramelized onion in flaky pastry and a square croissant-like dough filled with creamy chocolate. We will be back to try some more options.

Tastes very fresh. The flavors are perfectly balanced. There are a few tables inside, and a few more in the outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant. The menu can be viewed via a QR code, and each dish is shown with a picture. We had the avocado toast, the stuffed sourdough bread, a double cappuccino, and a freshly squeezed orange juice. The display case is filled with croissant-style pastries.

My mum and I stayed in Athens for a week and visited this bakery several times - everything they served was fantastic! Their pain au chocolats are the best vegan pastries I have ever had, the coffee was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helped us practice our Greek. We will definitely be back next time we are in Athens!

The classification about Holy Llamas prizing policy at the HappyCow App [$ of $$$] should be reconsidered possibly.
The prizing seems worth of it to us, but it's definitely not cheap and possibly a bit misleading.

I finally found oat milk. It seems there is a lot of soy out there but it was nice to find an alternative. Baked goods were amazing and fresh juice too. I will come back as often as I can.

They have an amazing selection and seating😄We have visited multiple times on our visit in 2023 and 2025! They now have a Dubai Chocolate pastry which is incredible and the pain o chocolat's are super good. The tofu-egg sandwich was perfect for balancing my breakfast :)
