Nice bright space, good food, friendly service - Edit
I enjoyed the meal here. The atmosphere was nice with ample space. The cafe is attached to an art gallery with a car par at the back. Good food and lovely service. Would be great if the food and dessert selections were a bit wider.

Amazing and calm - Edit
Absolutely loved the food as well as the vibe. It’s located in a gallery, so the atmosphere is calm and relaxed which is perfect when you need to charge up your batteries. Huge recommendation!

Fully vegan cafe - Edit
Nice place above a gallery, friendly staff with great food.
Read moreI had the Oyster mushroom burger, it could have done with a bit more mushroom in the bun, but it was tasty all the same.
Husband had the tofu burger and it was lovely.
The daughter absolutely loved her pumpkin starter dish and the homemade chips were very good.
Dirty chips were a bit disappointing as it was just chips dusted with paprika, was expecting a bit more from them.
Knocked a star off the review for the small amount of oyster mushroom in burger and dirty fries.

Great breakfast, lovely space. - Edit
This hearty breakfast that matched its contemporary surroundings was far from greasy spoon looked lovely on the plate, tasted delicious and set us up for a day of sightseeing.
Read moreI'm always extremely happy to try new things like the potato scone and it was great to see them using tempeh as a bacon substitute. Topped off with a large pot of tea with almond milk.
Pros: Filling breakfast , Chilled atmosphere , Lovely server

Having long been a fan of Holy Cow, we finally made it to Holy Cow Lounge for my birthday. The food was incredible, delicious and fresh.

Deliciously vegan - Edit
Had a vegan full English breakfast (of course), and besides the consistency of the tofu scramble (a little bit too soft for me) it was just excellent! Also tried the pancakes (with syrup and vegan bacon) and those were delicious as well.
Read moreThe café is a bit hard to find (the entrance is at the back of the building, so after finding the address, go around two corners), but worth every effort. Also the place wasn’t crowded at all, which is also a nice feat in Edinburgh. Highly recommended!
Pros: Full English breakfast , nice atmosphere , friendly staff

Mediocre - Edit
Had breakfast delivered. To be honest I’ve had better. It’s fine but the scramble tofu is bland and the tempeh bacon tastes nothing like.
Read moreI’ve tried this cafe twice and both times I wasn’t particularly impressed. Everyone seems to love it but it’s just not for me. There are many vegan places in Edinburgh that do much better. Also £17 for a breakfast is a little much considering they don’t dress the salad and the toast had no butter.
Pretty average.
Cons: Bland , Overpriced

Vegan breakfast 😋 - Edit
A simplistic and clean place. They have vegan waffles and pancakes; also, sandwiches and cakes among some of the other options. We got the pancakes and waffles. The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I’ve ever tasted! So good! The instant coffee wasn’t that good tho— very bitter. The staff was nice and friendly.
Read moreI wish the place was labeled better from the outside. We only found this place bc of this app. There is a lot of construction around and on the street atm so I think the place may get overlooked.
Pros: Fluffy pancakes, Friendly staff
Cons: Instant coffee, Needs to be labeled better from outside

decent food and service, too expensive - Edit
we went there for lunch and it was quite nice. the coffee was a little sour, but the staff were friendly and the food was pretty good. it was too expensive in my opinion. I originally wanted to get a frappuccino, however they charge 7.20£ for it. the chips were soft. I personally prefer crispy ones.

Good food, but pricey - Edit
This is a really nice space and with good food. The menu isn’t particularly big, but it’s all vegan. However, the prices are a lot - more than £35 for a sandwich, veg bowl and two coffees. Portions were decent, but nothing exceptional.
