Tasty Brunch - Edit

Totally worth it. I really felt in love with the coffee 😍 and the vegan chocolate lime cake. The pancakes were ok, maybe a little bit small, but very filling. The amthmospere was very nice and the restaurant had the perfekt size. My non vegan friends enjoyed their food aswell

One of the top cafes in Edinburgh - Edit

Since moving to Edinburgh nearly 2 years ago Loudons has long been a favourite with my family and I. It’s a little on the pricey side so is sometimes better keeping for a treat but it’s got a great atmosphere and the food is always fresh and very tasty. I do find the menu a bit heavy on the meat options and even when I was vegetarian sometimes felt stuck to the same couple of options but they are always very happy to tweak things for you and the clearly marked vegan options are incredibly good so I guess they don’t need too many! Their full breakfasts are the best I’ve ever had and when having brunch in Edinburgh there is nowhere I would rather go. They always have a selection of vegan cakes too but every time I find myself going for the date slice because, although it’s a vegan staple, I personally have a slight date slice obsession and I can honestly say that Loudons beats everywhere else. Loudons is great - whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian or meat-eater and is sure not to disappoint.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, Good quality food, Caters really well for vegans

Cons: Lots of meat and egg options, Pricey

quality food but limited veg options - Edit

They have many gluten free options and a few vegan options, unfortunately not a veggie restaurant. Great baked goods and offer a vegetarian breakfast and vegan black current pancakes. Small portions, quite expensive, but quality food for a variety of diets. The vegan sausages are really bad, be advised. They are similar to ikea veggieballs but very dry and less flavourful.

Pros: veg options, great tea, unique food

Cons: non veg

good option - Edit

I'm not quite sure why I haven't added Loudons before.
I was first made aware of it by a friend with gf issues and have been a few times. You will never struggle to find vegan cakes if required. They normally have a couple of vegan options and they make food from scratch.
I don't think you will be disappointed.

Pros: lots of vegan options, good size
