I went relatively early on a Saturday morning for breakfast. I was quickly welcomed and asked for my drink. My soya latte tasted really good. Relatively good deal of vegan/gluten free options available, but when I asked to confirm if a dish was vegan, the person who was taking my order suggested it was vegetarian, although the menu said it was vegan, so that made me dubious. Regardless, I had the quinoa porridge, which was quite an original dish and reminded me a lot of carrot cake. I would have only hoped the portion was slightly bigger, as it was filling but a bit tiny.

Loudons offers several choices for vegan breakfast and we were excited to try them. They did not disappoint!

Service was very friendly and the space is large, but still comfy.

I really enjoyed my visit. I had vegan pancakes which were amazing and would definitely recommend. The building is open plan, so light and airy. It seems to be popular for families too. A good brunch choice for vegans and non vegans, with good service and tasty food.

I wandered in here looking for an authentic Scottish breakfast - or, as authentic as you can get without real meat. The waiter convinced me that the Vegan Benny was the best vegetarian brunch item on the menu, and I would imagine he’s right! Completely delicious (and beautiful), it was like nothing I’ve eaten before, in a great way! Service was also excellent. If I had more time in Edinburgh, I’d come back here everyday.

Has two "by default" vegan and a few veggie options. When ordering a vegan version of the full vegetarian breakfast, I got an enormous plate with very little on it but still got charged the full price. But also for my friends, portion sizes did not reflect the rather high prices.

Totally worth it. I really felt in love with the coffee 😍 and the vegan chocolate lime cake. The pancakes were ok, maybe a little bit small, but very filling. The amthmospere was very nice and the restaurant had the perfekt size. My non vegan friends enjoyed their food aswell

They have many gluten free options and a few vegan options, unfortunately not a veggie restaurant. Great baked goods and offer a vegetarian breakfast and vegan black current pancakes. Small portions, quite expensive, but quality food for a variety of diets. The vegan sausages are really bad, be advised. They are similar to ikea veggieballs but very dry and less flavourful.

Read moreI was first made aware of it by a friend with gf issues and have been a few times. You will never struggle to find vegan cakes if required. They normally have a couple of vegan options and they make food from scratch.
I don't think you will be disappointed.
