Ci siamo fermati in questo locale di passaggio per proseguire il nostro tour della Thailandia del Nord. Vegetarian/Vegan options steps from the Historical Park - Edit
The Google reviews were very mixed here which prompted the restaurant to answer back. I was a bit hesitant to try, but the rain drove me in.

Agree with others, there are 6-8 pages of veg options and the standard array of drinks. Lots of tourists eat here. Def more into the marketing than some other places. Food is good with prompt service. Food fine with a fairly standard set of options. A more western option is Pizza but we didn’t try it.

Several pages of veg/vegan at the back of the menu, with a good range of choices. Our noodles, papaya salad, and spring rolls were all good. With limited veg options in Sukhothai we may be back.

Vegan menu at the end of the regular menu - Edit
I was delighted to find a 3 page vegan menu at the very end of their menu book. There are a good number of options. We bought a spicy Thai soup, rice, fruit shakes, fries and spring rolls.

The menu offers a few pages of vegan options, accompanied by friendly service and a great outdoor atmosphere. The waitress handed me insect repellent to put on, and they kindly booked a tuktuk for me since Grab was no longer available to travel to the new city!

Good (and only) vegan food in Old Sukhothai - Edit
Menu with a separate section for vegetarian and also a separate section for vegan food. But their understanding/definition of what is "vegan" is a bit more strict/ascetic/religious than what is usually "vegan", namely, it's not just vegan but also devoid of e.g. onions and garlic. On the other hand, most of the dishes in the vegetarian section are actually vegan. (Just ask about eggs if in doubt.)

Clear vegan options but lack flavour - Edit
They have many clearly labelled vegan options which is great for this area where there are so few if any options available. However the food was quite bland and not very filling as it lacked protein. We had a sweet and sour (it had hot cucumber in it which was strange) with rice & a yellow noodle dish. The owner is highly defensive and will attack anyone who leaves a negative review online (google reviews) and even said he’d checked the CCTV on some customers to prove that they weren’t dissatisfied with the service. So maybe a place to go in a tight spot (but try the other dishes) & be warned about giving constructive feedback!

I was surprised about the positive reviews on here. You should have seen the replies from the owner on google which I think have been removed. They also tried to change the location on google maps I think to avoid the bad reviews. He’d even accused some reviewers as just out to get him and rivals from other restaurants. I’ve never seen anything like it before!
