Great atmosphere! - Edit
We came about 45 minutes before they closed at 4, and although they accommodated us, they seemed like they weren't ready for us. The menu was limited with only a few options available because they are new and were still figuring it out.

Calm and peaceful restaurant with butterflies - Edit
The place has a peaceful location. Several vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. They even went out to get a fresh coconut for me from the tree. Food was good. Had a salad and a rice and chickpea dish.

Just in time - Edit
I was seeking a place to eat on the island and found Highland. They were closing soon, so I called ahead and they were kind enough to make me a salad bowl with lots of yummy veggies.
Read moreI’m usually not one for salads, because “yes I’m vegan and no I don’t live off salads”, you know? But a more complex salad than just lettuce- I’ll happily take that. It was delicious and I think the black beans are pickled or fermented! What a delicious treat. Gratitude for staying open to make me a quick meal.

A fair selection on the menu - Edit
With more than 14 vegetarian dishes on the menu and a number of vegan and gluten free dishes, Highland is a good option for the hunger vegetarian traveler.
