Are you sure you have the right place? I have *never* seen tamales here, and I am a regular of over four years. I could see Agua Linda doing something like that, though.

On the Athens vegan page someone said they asked about the tamales and they admitted they use lard. I would ask them myself but like I said, you have to be vaxxed to enter the restaurant, which is far from vegan so I can't. Yeah, Agua Linda next-door has chicken broth in the rice, lard in the tamales, everything we can’t eat. Hi Lo is definitely very vegan friendly, they would *never* use animal products and claim it to be vegan.
