Best Vegan Food in Japan - Edit
This spot is such a gem, you have to try it! It's unexpected: the menu is small and changes regularly, their opening hours are limited, and it's quite remote - but it was absolutely DELICIOUS! We went with a large group and it was everyone's favorite meal.
Read moreThis weekend they had a Taiwanese soup set (came with a gorgeous baguette style bread and jasmine rice), pizza (that came with a soothing broth with oregano and glass noodles), and a Thai green curry - phenomenal!! We tried everything and wished we had space to eat more.
The starter jar salads, drinks, and desserts were amazing too. But the food really sang, it was so flavorful. Everything was perfectly balanced.
The atmosphere is also incredible. The art and musical decor are gorgeous. We would go back here every weekend, every day!, if we could.
If you are anywhere remotely in the area, it's worth making the trip here. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely Lunch Spot - Edit
The big cities may have lots of vegan places to choose from, but when I get to have a delicious meal at an all vegan restaurant in the middle of rural Japan, I feel a particular kind of happiness!
Read moreA really lovely place, filled with musical instruments, activist leaflets, kind staff and really excellent food!
We ordered the pizza lunch and the coconut spice curry lunch. They both came with a salad, which arrived in a cute jar that we emptied and stirred in our bowls. The pizza lunch also came with a drink and a dessert set. For the drink, I chose a Viennese coffee with soy whip. The dessert set had sweet potato slices with lemon wedges, grilled ice cream with orange and soy milk, and tofu raw chocolate.
Everything was superb! I only wish we could have gone more than once to try a lot of their other lunch options.
The staff was so kind and spoke excellent English, even though the menu was only in Japanese.
If you find yourself in that area, make sure to not miss out on an excellent meal!
