Beautifully Delicious - Edit
The Japanese dishes are ever so nicely presented, it's just a shame having to eat them. The sashimi, sushi and bento are filling and eye-catching. The mockmeats are delicious! Everything very affordable.

Tasty food (but not cheap) - Edit
I often pop in here as I get a massage next door.
Read moreThey do have a lunch set which is under $100 (only Chinese menu) but the al a carte menu (Chinese and English) is quite expensive if like me, you often get a vegetable side dish with a meal. Would recommend tho 👍

A delight for both your yes and eyes. Most dishes are vegan with some just having honey or egg.

Confused Menu That Really Needs To Focus On One Thing More - Edit
The menu is rather huge but doesn't really offer complementary options. There's a lot of Chinese favourites on the menu but they also serve up a huge amount of sushi-styled offerings and other mismatched items from Korea, Thailand and Western. I guess it's to offer a little something for everyone but, it was just confusing for us.
Read moreWhen we ordered, the Chinese dishes were definitely the closest to being good. The Korean and Thai food got nowhere near the flavour profile required to be good examples of such and just tasted like Chinese versions of these dishes, afraid of really demonstrating the necessary flavour. We didn't order any of the many sushi options but can only imagine that these would've suffered a similar fate. Again though, our Chinese noodle dish and our Congee were both well-executed.
The interior of the restaurant is very...hotel-y. It's definitely not a casual, relaxed place to eat, which is in a bit of conflict with what the actual menu offer. It makes it difficult to imagine a situation where I'll have an "occasion" that Heartful Veggie would be the answer to my actual dining wants.
However, as there aren't many alternative choices for fully vegetarian restaurants in this area, so as such, this venue is an option to keep in mind if you're nearby.
Pros: Well-Executed Chinese Dishes., Vegetarian Food In Area With Few Alternatives.
Cons: Confused And Bloated Menu., International Dishes Lacking Required Flavour., Decor A Bit Overstuffy.

Great for family style eating - Edit
Heartful veggie has a huge menu with tons of options. It was hard to pick for the first time. The dumplings are generously stuffed, the Thai style fried noodles were delicious and the tempura platter is large and tasty!

Post-paddling recovery - Edit
This restaurant is reminiscent of Gaia Veggie, really good variety on the menu and bottomless tea (ideal after a long day in the sun). We ordered three dishes to share between three of us as well as three bowls of rice and this was plenty. The Tong Yum soup was delicious with lots of flavours, highly recommend this warming soup especially if your hair is still wet from the sea!

Cons: Slightly clinical decor.

First vegetarian restaurant in Hang Hau - Edit
Opened in 2021. Probably first vegetarian restaurant in Hang Hau. When I first visited, the place was very new so I would not say what I experienced was representative. The staff were not trained yet to tell the ingredients of the dishes. Moreover, the menu seemed not to be marked accurately. A dish we double checked if it was vegan ended up to be vegetarian as told by the waitress. Dishes were on the oily side.
